Koelschtrinker (10676) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 6, 2011

Bottle. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate.

Bottle. Golden colour, bit sweet grainy and hoppy aroma, which appear in the flavour too with some maltiness. More the memories from drinking so many of this than the taste that makes me like it. Nice label though. Check out the St. Pauli Us website! Nice St. Pauli girl there!

Lubiere (9999) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 21, 2005
Light golden lager with a thick creamy white head. Light malt, grass and skunk in aroma. A rather heavy malt, sweetish and corny, with german crisp hops. Medium bodied. Not a crappy US Lager, but not a good german one either. Bought in Potsdam NY, Fall 2004.

Green bottle poured a clear gold with a small disapating white head. Aromas of bread, spicy hops and light skunk. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of straw and spicy hops with a crisp dry lightly bitter finish.

Pours a fizzy yellow with very little head. Aroma is hoppy, though not strong. Taste is bitter though not overpowering. Carbonated finish.

Although it's brewed with 100% barley malt, it's hardly more enjoyable than any other rice-brewed American Standard.

Fair but not great. Some malt aroma and flavors. A bit of bitterness and a funny taste. Some call it "unique" I call it funky and not great.

Bottle @ home, picked up at Wilbur’s Fort Collins. Pours a clear yellow appearance with a thin off white head. There is some DMS in the nose along with dough, cracker, and some floral notes. A bit twangy note on the finish. Spritzy. Lightly bitter and sweet. Kind of bland and watery. Just a bit of toast. Quite boring and not very good. I can’t imagine a scenario where I’d want to get fucked up on this shit. I’d take a good ol’ fashioned American-made Budweiser over this.

On tap. To think, 20 years ago, I used to think this was the best beer on earth. My how times change. Poured a very light yellow with no head. Not much to the smell or tastes. Light hops and a little skunky. Pass…
