Two row spring barley from the south of England, a special strain of yeast, ice-age glacier water from the "Rotenburger Rinne," plus hops from the famous "Hallertau Hop Gardens" in southern Germany are the ingredients that give St. Pauli Girl Lager its unsurpassed quality and taste and keeps you coming back for more.

my favorite mass market german brand, far superior to becks.

I ordered a bottle of it because it was the most interesting thing the small-town bar had to order. The acrid smell hit me first, but I took a drink anyway. The flavor was sharp, bitter, and grassy. It was clear that someone had to a lot of trouble to take some water from a cow trough, color it, and bottle it. A foul thing. Perfect for fans of Heineken.

Represents my beer floor. Green bottle crap that is a toss up between skipping a beer altogether. Bad beer... even for Beck’s!

This beer is definitely skunky. A bitter wash over the tongue with a non-existant finish. Ugh.

Good alternative to Heineken although not as good as a Stella Artois. Good clean taste, decent head, slightly hoppy aroma. Very drinkable. Fine German beer for a major brew house. IF you see it on sale go for it and you won’t be disappointed.

I knew they don't drink this in Germany but I just had to try it. Possibly the most awful heavily marketed beer I have tried. Take out the bitterness and you have macro light and a lousy one at that. An insult to its category and its taster.

Decent beer, not what I expect from a German beer, but the best German beers are found in Germany and not here in America. Overall I would still pay the price for this beer.
