St. Pauli girl is a middle of the pack golden German brew. I would rather drink Bitburger, Lowenbrau, or Spaten. It is on par with Beck’s. It is better than Warsteiner. The dry crispness and German hop character are there but the body is a little light.

Bottle@oyster bar Carmel. Light golden. Clear. Earthy aromas. Slight DIA. Pronounced sweetness. Body light though. Good for driving wifes.

2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
This was poured into a pilsener glass.
The appearance was a hazy burnt yellow/orange color, slight transparency, low carbonation is seen rising. Slim fastly dissipating head falls and leaves no lacing.
The smell is skunky "Euro/dead" grassy/burnt onion. Burnt grains.
The taste is basically the same. Definitely a skunky aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, light bodied and semi-sessionable if one can look past the skunkiness of it all. Faded burnt onion creates a semi-smoothness like a decent premium lager.
Overall, mouthfeel is the best thing about this. But considering the smell and taste, well, nothing I need to come back to. Tickers gotta tick, one and done for me.

Originally rated on 5/27/08. The best thing about this beer is the blonde on the label. Its pretty much downhill from there, it looks good enough but the aroma is skunky, and sickly sweet, tastes bitter and slightly metallic. I dont recommend it

this is a little light struck, not surprising given green bottle. Otherwise, totally forgettable. Nothing present that’s remarkable. The only thing of note, is that there’s nothing of note.

1.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
One of the first beers I have drank!
As far as the smell goes it has a slightly skunky, rotten apple smell. Pours a beautiful light green color with an impressive beady head. Tasted a bit watery, almost like a Rolling Rock, but had a stronger rotten apple taste. Has a watery beginning and end.
Overall, it’s nothing great, but nothing offensive. I still have fond memories of having one of my first 6 packs ever back in my army days so it scores some nostalgia points with me. A quality cheap beer.
