Two row spring barley from the south of England, a special strain of yeast, ice-age glacier water from the "Rotenburger Rinne," plus hops from the famous "Hallertau Hop Gardens" in southern Germany are the ingredients that give St. Pauli Girl Lager its unsurpassed quality and taste and keeps you coming back for more.

Tastes like Heineken. If you like this sort of beer, there are far better values to be found for your dollar.

A thoroughly bland, tasteless, and boring beer. The only time it has flavor is when its green bottle allows it to get skunked easily. Regardless of its deScription, this has nothing even vaguely resembling a ’hoppy aroma’.

This is quite average, I used to like it 10 years ago but as my tastes mature and the skunky aroma is a turn-off on this one. This should be ’Extra Skunky Pilsener’...

Good appearance, golden color, otherwise it sucks.

A embarrassment to good German Beers. Nice label (for a Munich girl in.....Bremen?). I rather have a Becks. Enough said.

Commercial DeScription: "Deep golden color, distinctive full-bodied taste and hoppy aroma." NOT. These folk should spend more time on the brewing side of the business and less on the St. Pauli Girl searches. Don’t misunderstand me. I love the ladies, especially my Linda. But, if you check their site, it’s full of all kinds of "fun" things... and very little talk about their brews. Good reason. This is only a step or two above the macros. Little aroma. Little flavor. Almost makes me want to swear off my Germanic heritage. But, gee, aren’t the girls pretty?

Very light, pale yellow in color with a medium white head. Almost no aroma, not the nice subtle aromas you can get in a good pilsner. Watery, some light malts, no hops. Drinkable when cold, but unimpressive.

Bottle. Average German lager, not very good quality. Metallic taste and skunky aroma, not a very enjoyable aftertaste. Not that bad, but there is better out there.

(Bottle) Aroma weak, a little hops; aroma reminiscent of wet dog. Tastes spoiled; the hops are not at all skunky, but the malt is foul. A biting bitterness (and not from the hops) arises...a toxic sort of bitterness. Checked the date on the back and it was near expiration, but it should not be this badly spoiled. Drain pour. I have tasted a fair amount of spoiled beer over my life, and I can say that this one had the most toxic/unpleasant flavor to it. I had had this beer once before, a long time ago, and it was not spoiled...and I do not remember it vividly, but it left an impression on me as being extremely weak, and with a very thin and low-quality malt, reminiscent of the corn-supplemented American beers (which blows my mind how it could be this bad since I know the German ones don’t allow corn).
