A very tasty darky... The beer has a sweetish smell, nice head that somewhat lingers, good solid taste kinda nutty but bitter but not really...A good beer from a great german city, Bremen!

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
This makes a really nice pour, clear, rich brown in color with a creamy off-white head. It’s downhill from there. There’s a light malt aroma accompanied by that of corn syrup. It’s watery with a bit of a roasted malt flavor. No finish, just done with. Unremarkable.

1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
12 oz. bottle pours a transparent dark brown color with a thin head. Barely detectible chocolate malt smell. Thin, watery mouthfeel. Lightly flavored with a cold, unbuttered toast taste. Has a funky metallic finish.
Tastes like something a macro brewer would market as a dark beer.Oct 2004

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: APR 15, 2013 Bottle. Pours a dark brown with a decent head. The taste is mostly a sweet malt with some bitterness. A decent brew, and it does taste much like Becks Dark. Re-rate: for some reason we had a 13 year old version next to a fresh one. Why did Craig have a fresh one in the fridge! The older one is better, age instills cardboard, coca cola.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
A dark brown that looks like a very dark amber when held up to the light. A thin slightly off white head. Aroma of cooked carrots and green beans. Also a little bit of chocolate. The taste is a light milk chocolate with some celery in the background. A thin mouthfeel. Light carbonation. Not bad and much better than the regular St. Pauli Girl.

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Light brown color with a taller dark creamy bubbly head. Herbal hops dominate the nose. Thin toasted malt flavors that get more metallic all the way through the guzzle. I'm left chewing on a nail. Just to thin to support much.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Clean, malty aroma. Very small, quickly dissipating head. Much more character than the original, with a good malty flavor but a slightly chalky finish and a bit watery. Not bad for a macro-import -especially for $4.99 a six on sale. Will keep this in mind for parties when I need to serve mass quantities.

3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a large sized head of foamy finely sized tan colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a transparent softly carbonated caramel brown colored body. The weak aroma was brown malt. . The thin flavor contained notes of mild hops brown malt and mild caramel. An OK brew just nothing special yet still a good dunkel
