3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Best by 09. 2012
Golden with a central dome and outward flowing bone white foam. Pretty good look for the style examples Iíve seen. Smells of light grain, some dough, some sweet bread, a touch of floral hops and a little bit of yeast character. Corn, grain, really sweet, slight bitterness on the back end. Nothing special. Thin bodied and moderate carb. Meh, not the worst, not the best Iíve had. Itís funny though, Iím finding that the NA beers have the knack of never really seeming to skunk.

Yellow pour with a white head. The aroma and flavor are pretty much non-existent but there is a bit of grain in both. Thin mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Smells like a skunk spray, no joke. Wtf. Tastes super sweet like a tablespoon of artificial sweetener blended into stale malts and 7-Up. In a word: Dreadful.

Bottle: When deployed to a non-alcoholic country one has very limited choices. I drank it straight out of the green skunktastic bottle. The aroma was bitter and old. Taste was a weak malt and bitter dirt.

1.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
Light clear caramel color with a foamy head. Super skunk aromas up front with light grass and grain malts. Flavors of light grain, old stale corn, grassy hops and skunk. Leaves an unpleasant aftertaste on palate. Slightly bitter, almost crisp, with a hint of dry. Iím not sure if this went bad or if it is the actually normal flavor, but wonít try to find out. Ever. Period.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
12 oz bottle. Pours a translucent pale straw color with an oily soap like head. Aroma of hay, corn, and sweet malts. Kinda smells like corn flakes. Very strong metallic taste with sweet malts, and a bit of basement funk. Active carbonation and some lacing. A hint of spice in the lingering metal tasting finish.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Acquired in a particularly insignificant trade with drabmuh. Thanks Matt!
A: This beer appears a very light shade of yellow and is crystal clear. The effervescence is slow paced, and the bubbles seem to be losing numbers. There is a quarter inch of white head that fades almost completely away after a few moments, but does leave a touch of lacing on the glass.
S: Pilsner malt, sweet corn or grain. The aroma is of cheap adjunct lager or N.A. beer. Itís not particularly appealing, per se, but one canít expect greatness from a N.A. brew.
T: Thereís not a lot to report in the taste department. What is there consists mostly of overly sweetened pilsner malt and corn. The beer is cloyingly sweet, without any redeeming aspects to counteract its unimpressive taste. That being said, the beer is not horrid or completely repugnant. It is what it is, and I can respect why N.A. beer exists.
M: Very thin and watery, with no backbone. Sweet unpleasant aftertaste.
D: Ironically, I donít find this, or most other N.A. beers, to be very drinkable or sessionable. I have had my fair share of N.A. beers while serving in Iraq and Afghanistan, and even then couldnít force more than two down on any given night. If I want something really drinkable with no alcohol in it, Iíll opt for water.
