2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
One of 19 non-alcoholic brews I tried during a 4-month deployment in Kuwait, because that’s all I could get. 11/11/05 (bottle): Veteran’s day in Kuwait. This one has an attractive golden hue an da lagery head. There’s a very clean aroma and actually a decent malt flavor. The bitterness avoids the cooked starchiness of most NAs. Either I’ve been here too long, or this isn’t half bad (or both). This was the most popular option for most I knew.

1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
passable for a night when I needed to drive and stay out late and not drink water or something sugary. Some satisfction. OK in all the categories although not to good an aroma. Mellow, but also a half year past due from Premiere Gourmet.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Light gold body with a white head. The aroma is rich and grainy with cornmeal and some bread. Again, similar ot unfermented wort. The taste is cooked corn along with some green bell peppers in the finish. Honestly, not as bad as I was expecting. I woudl drink this again before trying another skunked St. Pauli Girl.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours a nice light golden yellow. Aromas of hops, grass, and maybe malt. Taste is crisp with a nice mellow hop flavor. This is one of the better non-alcoholic beers on the market.

1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Sweet tea like aroma is evident. The color is a light yellow with a large white head that quickly evaporates. The taste is also very much like drinking a sweet tea. Afterwords very little is left for the palate.

0.7 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20
Easily the worst NA beer I’ve had. Smells like regular St. Pauli, which is horrendous, and it tastes even worse, which is tough.

0.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20
UPDATED: OCT 26, 2005 Light sweet aroma with a hint of hops, something many NA beers lack. The appearance is the typical pale golden with a small head. The flavor is not outstanding but then again most beers of the style are not. It is sweet which is not really that bad but it also has an ocean water quality (yikes) as well as an artificial bitterness in the finish. Not my favorite beer.

1.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
color is very pale yellow, and clear. the head is big and rocky, pretty white. aroma is sweet like diluted karo syrup or simple syrup, but still a little sour grassy too. I thought this would be a watery version of the regular St Pauli Girl, but it wasn’t - the flavor was grainy sweet but a skunky sour kicked in like nothing else. a little metallic too, with a unusual bitterness about it.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Very pale gold with a small fluffy white head. Nose; Cheerios. Flavor of malted milk balls (sans the chocolate coating) with the barest hint of citrus hops. Not good, but no worse than many lagers and since this is an N/A beer that’s saying a lot.
