Dalle (1146), Skørping, Denmark Jun 19, 2004 Bottle. Amber colour with small head. Sligthly nutty aroma. Flavor is slightly malty, little piney with a pleasent bitter finish. harlequinn (2745), Tacoma, Washington, USA Jun 18, 2004 This is a good session beer. Nothing over the top, not good, but not terrible. Pours a clear amber with a little frothy head. Average doughy malt flavors, with some light hoppy bitterness, with a bit of a piney taste at times, finish is basic and lightly chalky. Hildigöltur (5109), København, Denmark Jun 16, 2004 Amber coloured. Quite weak aroma. The flavour is hoppy and bitter. Dry and bitter finish. PorterPounder (3132), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Jun 12, 2004 Light orange appearance, little to no head, like all St Peter’s quaint medicine looking bottle. Faint fruity aroma, hint of spruce. Slight toffee in the flavor, some bittersweet hop notes. Tart mouthfeel. Average bitter, nothing to get excited about, but good nonethless for session purposes. shrubber85 (2833), Wallhalben, Germany Jun 12, 2004 Sweet, cereal aroma. Not much of a head. Taste however is very pleasant - not nearly as sweet as the aroma would seem to indicate but toffee flavot comes through. Delivers with a pleasant bitterness and some grain undertones. An enjoyable bitter. RichardGretton (3131), Leicestershire, England May 21, 2004 Dark bitter with a well hopped aroma and a very dry hopped flavour. Overall the beer could be better as it has a medicinal feel to it. Jeppe (2638), Ølbutikken, Denmark May 21, 2004 Sampled from bottle at Danish Beer Festival 2004 (#48). Light amber color, disappearing head. Aroma is sweet. Malt, toffee, yeast and some spices. Flvor is malty and bitter hoppy with a toffee undertone. Very dry. One of the better beers from St. Peters specially considering the low ABV! Hangover (764), Atlanta, USA Apr 2, 2004 Dark amber pour, with a thin head and nice lacing at the top of the glass. Somewhat weak nose, mostly malt with a whiff of floral hops. Taste is smooth. Malts, some fruit, hops towards the end, pleasant carbonation. Nice fresh finish, with a lingering hop aftertaste. Complex to a degree. It's good, but doesn't deliver the "BAMM" as Emerill would say, that perhaps a rogue or fullers would. Even smoother when warmed.
