500ml oval bottle 4.4% a/v (sticker on back, label says 3.7% a/v) Pours beautiful, a nice, very slight murky, orange copper colour with a nice tan head which readily laces on the glass. The aroma is hay, grass, fresh hops and a hint of malt. The taste is great, cirtusy hoppy but well balanced with a nice malt and floral taste with some hints at darker bitter notes like dark chocolate. Interesting balance, im not a fan of best bitters usually but this one is good.

[762-20071015] Bottle (w/ jerc). Bit of leafy malt and chocolate in the aroma. Slightly hazy, amber orange body with a quick foamy off-white head. Malty flavour with a little leafy chocolate booze and floral heather. Medium body has a mildly bitter finish. Interesting but mild.

Bottled sample via gregclow. Brownish amber in colour with low carbonation. Aromas of mild stone fruit, hay, and caramel malts. More fruit and hay notes in the mouth, along with some notes of earth and chalk. A bit of caramel and citrus come through on the finish. Moderate bitterness along with a fairly dry finish. Pretty good for a bottled bitter.

Bottle: Poured a light brown color ale with a small bubbly head that disappeared way too quickly. Aroma of grainy unrefined dry malt is not the most interesting. Taste is also dominated by this unrefined grainy taste with a dry ending. Carbonation is very low with no noticeable hops. Very uninteresting and boring.

Bottle: Poured a dark gold-amber with a small rocky cap..low carbonation. Light fruity aroma..peaches and some wet hay, bit of musty sweetness. Nice mild caramel tastes in the front, then golding bittering, light sweetness like dark toffee, light fruity notes, clean wet bitter finish...soft mineral mouth feel. Pretty fair cask-styled light bitter,

Cask @ Jerusalem Tavern, London. Pours a clear copper color with a small off-white head. Fruity malty and slightly hoppy aroma. Fruity malty and hoppy flavor. Fruity malty finish with a slightly hoppy bitter aftertaste.

Bottle - 500ml. Nice hazy amber body with average carbonation and a thin off-white creamy head. Good hoppy aroma with herbal and brown sugar notes. Its hoppy taste is decent but lacks complexity and shows a strange balance. It ends with an average bitter finish. This is more than drinkable, but not among my favorite Bitters.

Bottle. Amber body with a smallish white head. Musty earthy hops in the aroma. Flavour has moderate bitterness throughout, light caramel notes to the malt. Mildly earthy character becomes a touch sharper in the finish. Average palate is on the light side, but style appropriate. Modest quaffable bitter that I could drink a few pints of at the pub but doesn’t make me rush for another.
