Bottle from Matkroken Natland, Bergen. Pours a deep clear coppery amber body with a small off-white head. Nose is burnt sugar, grains, caramel and hints of biscuits and bread. Taste is pretty similar, with caramelly grainy burnt sugar tones playing the major part. Dry, bitter finish. Full to medium body, soft to medium carbonation. Pretty decent bitter, which actually is a bit...bitter.

Bottle. Dark golden colour with a small frothy off-white head. Aroma is light hoppy, earthy and slightly malty. Bitter from the first sip and remains bitter despite a nice caramel sweetness. Nice medium body for a bottled bitter. Feels a bit heavier than the 3.7% would suggest.

The beer pours dark copper brown in the glass, with flat creamy head. It smells hoppy-bitter, malty-spicy and subtle caramelly. Starts with caramel and spicy malts, with subtle floral hop notes, in the background subtly bitter. The middle part is very caramelly and earthy, with some peat and bitter hops. Goes into a very earthy-malty finish with peat, caramel and bitter hops notes! The long finish has a strong ashtray flavor!

Bottled. Clear copper colour with a small but lasting off-white head. Fresh aroma of hops, pine, and nuts. Flavours are very dry and bitter, with bread and yeast evident and slightly smoky finish. Very good.

Bright clear amber beer, small off white head. Fresh crisp minerally palate. A little dark toffee malt. Bittering hops, slightly astringent. Just a trace of hop fruits. Fresh minerally finish with quite a strong bitter linger. A pretty decent 3.7% bitter.
