Rad with a small and sustained head. Nut and caramel malt flavours well balanced with some considerible bitterness. Uncomplex but very drinkable, a good choice for a session beer.

Bottle from the LCBO. Orange pour, small white head. Standard fruity aroma with some malt. Taste follows - standard bitter here - malt, some hops, a little sweet. Short finish. Medium body. Nothing wrong with it, just sort of been there, done, that, especially on our shelves.

Bottle from the LCBO. Copper-amber with a large white head that dissipates into a persistent thin head that sticks around to the end of the glass. Aroma of caramel/toffee malt, tea and slightly citric hops. Good mouthfeel. Smooth, well-balanced flavour, with a fairly sweet start, a subdued fruity middle, and a dry, lingering hoppiness to finish. The hop presence increases as it warms - very crisp and refreshing. A very nice session ale.

500ml bottle - pours caramel/copper with almost no head except for a thin bubbly layer. Aroma is of apples, caramel, and fruity English hops. Delicate fruity flavour, with a lot of caramel in the body, finishing with a mildly bitter hoppiness. Quite refreshing, actually. Very low carbonation. Overall, a nice English ale, rather traditional and unsurprising, but I could certainly drink a lot of this fast.

Bottle (500ml - green; grrr). Pours clear coppery-amber with an average creamy-foamy off-white head. The aroma was light caremel malt, leafy herbal hops and a bit of Indian tea ... also oddly soapy. The taste is pretty solid, really - the light malt body takes a backseat to insistent dry bitterness from the herbal hops, and it leave an almost burnt aftertaste. Average, soft body, nicely astringent, seriously lacking in carbonation, medium length linger. I agree with Sammy - moderate and on the bitter side.

A session beer of good bitterness at 4% ABV. Beautiful dark bottle, fresh from the LCBO. Easy moputhfeel colour of medium yellow with lots of head. Good bitterness, moderate and on the bitter side.

500 ml bottle - pours clear tawny with a very minimal bubbly white head. Clean Goldings aroma along with honey and brown sugar. Flavour fairly benign with some bitterness that builds to a mild finish. More Goldings and a thin caramel malt body. Another decent, though rather uninspiring, brew from St. Peter’s.

From bottle. Bitter aroma with hops. Copper in colour with a thin head. Nice bitter ale with a hop, citrus flavour. Classic bitter and I cant complain at all. Very nice to drink, what you want in a classic bitter ale.
