Enjoyit (1697), Vadum, Denmark May 23, 2007 Amber of color with nice white head. An aroma of citrus, hops and raw malt. A flavor with lots of malt, citrus and a lovely bitter finish. maxbeer (118), Italy May 9, 2007 Cask at Jerusalem Tavern. Amber, in the mouth despite its low strength has a full malt taste, almost spicy, balanced by the right bitterness. Good! cgarvieuk (4159), Edinburgh, Scotland May 1, 2007 Ruby coloured ale, with a sweet malt nose, and a light fruit malt with a bitter sweet fruit finish, slightly burnt smokeyness Maria (6056), Thisted, Denmark Apr 6, 2007 It’s a dark brown beer with a weak head. The aroma is malty and so is the flavour, that also has notes of roasted malt, caramel and a hint of smoke. the bitterness is lightly dry and has citrussy notes in the finish, where I also find more malty notes. Slayer85 (582), Firenze, Italy Mar 18, 2007 Bottled. A nice red beer with a white head that doesn’t last for much time. Light aroma of hops. The flavour is hoppy with notes of caramel. Dry with a pleasant hoppy bitter finish. Light body but doesn’t seem only 3,7% ABV. High drinkability. Not complex and satisfacting beer.
gunnfryd (3539), Kristiansand, Norway Mar 11, 2007 Bottle. Dark golden colour with an off-white head. Aroma ir roasted, caramel. Flavour is hop, caramel, malt. Unbalanced and bitter finish. yngwie (4880), Kristiansand, Norway Feb 28, 2007 Updated: Jan 26, 2009Bottled. The bottles from St. Peters looks really nice, and this beer looks quite nice as well. Clear, deep golden with a small off-white, almost beige, head. A bit roasted aroma with caramel and unfortunately some notes of cooked vegetables. The flavor is a bit boring, with caramel, some roastiness and hops. The body is said to be full, I find it too thin. Maybe not for an English bitter, but thin anyway. It has a long, lightly hoppy and metallic finish. I’m not too pleased with this one. Rating: 5-4-4-2-9-2.4. (060216)
Bottle, thx to tarjei. It pours a clear, golden body under a small, off-white head. Malty and bready aroma with a pleasant citrusy touch. Boring though. The flavor is much the same, with the bready maltyness blending nicely with the hops, but without being interesting at all. Decent bitterness lingering. Sure, it’s a drinkable beer, sessionable and well-tasting, but also utterly boring. (081108) TheGrandMaster (1846), Auckland, New Zealand Feb 5, 2007 Bottle at The Jerusalem Tavern, copper/brown with a filmy head. Quite a malty aroma, but touches of hops that carries through musty honey. A light mouthfeel with a good hoppy bite and a light bitterness in the finish.
