Shared from tap at De Paas after Kaapse BAF 2016. Near clear red amber with big fluffy head. Sweet toasted malts, tea leaves. Light sweet, medium bitter. About medium body, low carbonation. Very light soft feel. Mild dry. Bittersweet tea leaf bitter finish.

Tap at De Paas. Clear amber with big light beige head. Sweet malts and caramel, soft roasty notes with some cocoa, green leaves, some dried stone fruits. Under medium sweet and almost medium bitter. Under medium bodied.

UPDATED: OCT 1, 2016 500ml bottle, chilled and poured at home. Attractive clear bright amber colour. Not much nose, caramel, fruit and hint of tea; bitterness on tongue; subtle caramel palate with a dry, light bitter finish. Not too much going on but drinkable. Decent session beer.

A really decent thirst quencher with noble bitterness and juicy malts. Soft water texture with delicate carbonation. Aroma is grains , bread skin and some herbs. Easy to drink and satisfying. Not at all complex but that’s not a problem here.

From Club del Gourmet of El Corte Ingles El Duque. In Ikea’s pint glass. After dinner. Very bitter, with a earthy bitterness that at first I wasn’t sure if I liked but I ended up enjoying it. Low carbonation, a bit more would improve it, as it feels a bit flat because of it,

Bottle. Deep amber body, two fingers of white head. Aroma of caramel, biscuit, fruity ester (pear), eathy notes. Flavour of caramel, biscuit, earthy hops, light fruity notes, more pear. Lots of subtilities that i can’t get. Medium bitter finish. Medium body and low carbo. Great bitter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: AUG 20, 2015 500ml medicine bottle bb APR16, hauled by D&M up to the P-Worm, ta. - love the sturdy red-copper pour with organically dentured foam head, very inviting. Smooth seamy mouthfeel nothing short of impressive at this abv, transporting: contained floral (pollen, blossom, petals) and honey malts aromas, going over into more layered honey malts, creamy toffee milkshake and an astounding level of floral and even resinous bitterness that puts many a new-fangled continental IPA to shame. Very instructive and "exotic", particularly in comparison with BE and DE brewing cultures. Shame it is so hard to get more of this style and calibre in DE.

Cask in the Stanford Arms, Lowestoft. Flat looking amber ale with no head. Sweet malty aroma. The taste is citrus, stewed fruit and toasty malt. OK,
