Niente da fare, le st.peter’s ancora non convincono. Permane sempre quel retrogusto strano, non definibile altrimenti, sgradevole delle birre st peter’s. Neanche lontanamente paragonabile ad una bitter del tipo xxbitter

UPDATED: AUG 20, 2015 500ml medicine bottle bb APR16, hauled by D&M up to the P-Worm, ta. - love the sturdy red-copper pour with organically dentured foam head, very inviting. Smooth seamy mouthfeel nothing short of impressive at this abv, transporting: contained floral (pollen, blossom, petals) and honey malts aromas, going over into more layered honey malts, creamy toffee milkshake and an astounding level of floral and even resinous bitterness that puts many a new-fangled continental IPA to shame. Very instructive and "exotic", particularly in comparison with BE and DE brewing cultures. Shame it is so hard to get more of this style and calibre in DE.

Cask in the Stanford Arms, Lowestoft. Flat looking amber ale with no head. Sweet malty aroma. The taste is citrus, stewed fruit and toasty malt. OK,

Ambar anaranjada turbia y con bastante sedimento. Abundante espuma inicial, cremosa, que no dura mucho. Aroma acaramelado. Muy carbonica en boca, excesivamente. El gas dificulta obtener el sabor, malteado y de fuerte amargor, que permanece.

Dark golden ale with short lived white head. Sweet malt aroma. Malty, floral and zesty flavour with a subtly sweet undertone. Wish I didn’t have a stinking cold while drinking this.

Don’t usually like low gravity beers in bottles but this one stood up remarkably well. Mid amber in colour with a decent clingy head that lasts. Very smoky aroma with a burnt toffee flavour. Good lasting finish and overall a well made and thoroughly drinkable ale. Would be better without the fizz though...

Gravity cask at Jerusalem Tavern, Farringdon. Dark amber orange, still, slight haze, small foamy off-white head, full lacing. Aroma is soft, malty, shortbread biscuit. Body is light, smooth, low carbonation. Taste is smooth toffee, musty hop character, seeded bread, some tangy under-ripe fruit, soft bitterness in the finish. Very drinkable. A good bitter.
