Very smooth ale that suited the roast dinner. Light enough to be easy to drink but full flavored with Yuletide tastes. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a mid brown with a white head that recedes fairly fast. Aroma of fresh wort, malts and English hops. Some orange. Very enjoyable to drink. Medium body with the flavour lingering around nicely. Spritzy feel from the blend of alcohol and low carbonation. It’s not too malty or heavy, with the flavour of orangy and spicy hops blending nicely with some caramel notes. Somewhat fruity but no aged flavours (maybe the slightest port-like blend of sweetness and alcohol). Finishes medium-dry with some pleasant alcohol notes and mild bitterness. Overall it’s a great, easy to drink strong ale. It doesn’t try any unnecessary pyrotechnics and the subtle flavours make you want to reach for another one.

Bottled, 500 ml. Clear ruby brew with a small beige head on it, which leaves a thin film behind. Fruity nose. Aroma and taste ruled by marmalade underpainted by caramel and toast, mouthfeel is slick to oily. Somewhat boozy, nutty-dried fruity finish. Enjoyable Winter warmer...

Tåkete orangebrun med fingerhøyt beige skum. Lukter julekrydder, malt og Jordbærsyltetøy. Søt start, syltetøy, fortsetter med en flyktig bitterhet. Avslutningen er søt. Kort

Bottle. Appearance- ruby, clear, some carbonation, a creamy off-white head. Aroma- loads of malt, rye, oat biscuits, plum, rhubarb crumble, raisin, hoppy hints. Taste- plenty of fruitiness in this one, hints of sugary dark fruits, port wine, burnt treacle, hops, mouthfeel is a bit sticky, and it’s nicely sweet. Some boozy notes. Enjoyable stuff.

Flaske 0.5L kjøpt på vinmonopolet Tromsø. Farve mørk rødbrun med offwite skum som svinner fort. Lukt og smak av plomme, søt, litt Karamel. Fyldig og fruktig øl med julestemning.

Look; fawn head, foggy red orange body, half dark. Beautiful label. Aroma; lots of fruits and peel, caramel, dust, hops, fruity yeast. Taste; hops, roasted malts, dark fruits - leading to a flourish juicy malt-syrupy finish. Palate; plus body, soft carbonation. Overall; syrup-bitter thick ale. [50cl gr btl abv7%, BB.16MAR16, B@Vinmonopolet]
