CaryTheDude (1113), Longmont, Colorado, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 15, 2008 Crushed with Jakebra. Lots of coffee and tobacco in there. Sweetly sour finish. Expected it to be creamier I guess. Very thin-bodied but lots of flavor compared to the body. Boutip (2343), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 12, 2008 Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large light brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of dry coffee and light roasted malt. Taste is also dominated by some dry coffee with some roasted malt. Body is somewhat creamy, which I enjoyed, but also too thin with some average carbonation. Not bad but definitely one of the best from this hit or miss brewery. | 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Dec 9, 2008 bottled, poured like coke without the fizz and zero head, a sweet roasted aroma, multiple layers of flavor, sweet up front, then roasted, then mild bitter from coffee like roast, then mild hops, very dry on palate...kinda chalky, as mentioned before thick and watery at the same time. In mouth, strong torrefied coffee and bitter chocolate, a light earthy quality, herbal, very intense and pleasant. Medium bodied. MtStateBeer (77), Hurricane, West Virginia, USA

Pours a black, with a brownish-red hue with an average creamy light-brown head. Aroma is mainly malts, roasted, nutty, chocolate, and coffee. Flavor is roasted malts, coffee, and a bitter earthy hop finish. Medium bodied with a weird bitter, metallic, and dry finish. JohnBarleycorn (390), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 30, 2008 Surprisingly little CO2 pressure when opened and disappointing lack of foam on pour. Big chocolate aroma; some coffee. Smooth, velvety palate goes down easy. Flavour begins with loads of milk chocolate, moves to bitter espresso and tobacco smoke and goes back to bitter chocolate on the finish. If only I could have this every morning instead of coffee… Highly recommended.
