biggmike (480), Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA Nov 20, 2008 Poured a very dark almost completely black color with no ruby tones that I could detect. Had thin tan head that dissipated quickly. Aroma was nice; chocolate and roasted malts. Flavor also consisted of roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, and caramel. Mouthfeel was good. Flavor improved as it warmed. Drinkability was high.

FlyingSwine (169), Littleton, Colorado, USA Nov 18, 2008 Bottle. Pours a dark brown/black with a thick and slick tan head. Smells exactly like a stout should...tons of roasty malt with just a hint of floral hops. Tastes like a dream...very rich, chocolate, caramel, and molassas. Palate is a bit fizzy, but all is forgiven. Overall this was a joy to consume, and by far one of the best beers that have ever touched my lips. saxo (3511), Højbjerg, Aarhus, Denmark Nov 18, 2008 Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, chocolate and licorice. Egon (392), Gothenburg, Sweden Nov 2, 2008 Bottle. Black with a small brownish head. Creamy coffee and some chocolate. Low bitterness. blutt59 (2042), Dallas, Texas, USA Oct 30, 2008 bottle, black pour with foamy bubblewand head, dry cocoa nose with good cocoa flavor, body and finish are solid FunkyBrewster (436), Chicago, Illinois, USA Oct 30, 2008 Pours a jet black color with a minimal tan head. Aroma has some strong sweet roasted malt and and a lot of woodiness. Some dark fruit and licorice are also present. Flavor is very intense roasted malts and a bit of smokey bitterness. Roasted nuts and coffee beans add some more bitterness in the finish that is very smooth and easy. Medium-full body and average carbonation. Very nice stout that had a complex flavor and doesn’t try to add too much sweetness. terrybail (330), London, Ontario, Canada Oct 30, 2008 500ml AWESOME bottle from the LCBO
