opaque black, with a very small beige head. Aroma of dark fruity roasted coffee with hints of chocolate. Flavour is slightly hoppy with a big roasted malt back bone. Touches of dark ripe fruit, and more chocolate, finishes sweet, but dry. A very nice stout.

I found this one to be WAY too creamy and is somehow thin at the same time. flat tasting also.....Almost to the point where it was hard to classify it even as a beer. Not much carbonation...even for the style. Drain pour after a few sips. Bad bottle perhaps?

(bottle) Black coloured hue with a thick and dense brown foamy head. Moderately sweet and roasty earthy malty aroma with licorice, mocha, subtle berry fruity notes, a touch of smoke and present hops. Burnt bitter flavour with a moderate malty sweetness. Dry roast-malty taste with licorice and notes of coffee; rather slim bodied for the abv, but very smooth on the tongue; dry and bitter finish with an aromatic hoppy touch (21.XI.08).

Pours a deep brown colour which barely even shines red when you hold it to a light. Head is tan and creamy and dissipates pretty quick, but leaves nice lacing. Smells like milk chocolate and dark roasted malt. Flavour is fairly similar. At first you get a hint of the chocolate, then some heavy roasted malt notes kick in and it’s almost got a bit of a chalky, charcoaly taste to it. Finish is a tiny bit of hop bitterness, but a lot of bitterness from the roasted malt. It’s not the thickest stout I’ve ever had, but it doesn’t feel watered down. Very enjoyable.

Very coffee-scented and nicely smooth for a strong stout. Taste is very malty and a hint of licorice. Recommended.

Poured a very dark almost completely black color with no ruby tones that I could detect. Had thin tan head that dissipated quickly. Aroma was nice; chocolate and roasted malts. Flavor also consisted of roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, and caramel. Mouthfeel was good. Flavor improved as it warmed. Drinkability was high.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown/black with a thick and slick tan head. Smells exactly like a stout should...tons of roasty malt with just a hint of floral hops. Tastes like a dream...very rich, chocolate, caramel, and molassas. Palate is a bit fizzy, but all is forgiven. Overall this was a joy to consume, and by far one of the best beers that have ever touched my lips.
