How: Bottle 500ml, age unknown but drank within a few weeks after receiving it. Courtesy of hopscotch, thanks a lot Eric
The look: Black body topped by a tan sheet of foam.
In long: Strong black coffee aroma. Taste is rather simplistic. Roastiness level is medium-high. Initially the flavour is halfway between a cup of black coffee and roasted coffee beans. As the beer warms up some dark fruits (figs and such), some black chocolate and some vanilla start coming out. A bit dry. Body is thinner than it should be, even a little watery. Carbonation is appropriately medium. The thinner body and vanilla flavours gives a barrel aging impression. All in all a pretty standard stout like I’ve had many many times before, a strange sensation of déjà-bu.

Pours deep dark brown with light amber hues noticeable on the sides. Very thin tan head. Smells of sweet cream and roasted malts. This beer has a medium body which harbors a delicate sweet cream flavor against a deep roasted malt backdrop. Finishes lightly hopy along with burnt coffee and earthy notes making their way forward as well. Geuzelambix (110), København, Denmark
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Aug 8, 2008 It’s not by chance it’s called a cream stour. The palate is something special, with its lingering in the mouth. The taste is rather run-of-the-mill but still pleasant. yespr (11906), Copenhagen O, Denmark
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 7, 2008 50 cL bottle. Pours black with a minimal redish glare and a dense chocolate brown and creamy head. Chocolate aroma, vanilla yet also slight chalky. Chocolate and roasted malt to slight smoked malt flavour. Light acidic touch and medium to fully dry. Growing bitterness lurking out of the massive malt flavours into the finish. Jonte (815), Gothenburg, Sweden
