May 10, 2008 Bottle from Canals. Dark Brown pour with thin head. Aromas of Chocolate and Coffee were detected . Roasted flavors with a bitter finish. It was ok.

May 8, 2008 Bottle..dark brown with light brown head...What the F...smells sour as all hell...a stout, yes I have a doubt or two...can I actually drink this through and through?.....watery body, tastes like a coffee, twice brewed after the grinds sat out for a week or so, and the milk, well its tainted as well...its a bit chalky also...I just don’t like it...it can go F off and join the drain pours...although my rating may not make it to that page, it did join the drain

May 6, 2008 Pours ebony into an English pint. Offwhite medium head recedes slowly to coat surface leaving spot lacing. Coffee and chocolate aromas. Crisp yet full with sour espresso and milk chocolate from front to back.

Apr 14, 2008 Bottle. Balck colour with a beige head. Aroma i chocolate, caramel, coffee and some strange and unpleasant notes that I can’t explain. Flavour is mostly roasted coffee beans and molasses with a creamy mouthfeel. There is also a hint of metal that I find unpleasant. The finish is dry with a good amount of bitterness. I lke the bottle design but I don’t really care about the content...

Apr 14, 2008 Bottle. Black body, brown fluffy head. Sweet aroma, banana, roasted malt, chocolate. Dry flavour, some sweetness, but not as complex as the aroma. Bitter finish. Not as heavy as one should think. (Ånn, 23.03.08)

Apr 7, 2008 Updated: Oct 26, 2008Wow, was this beer a surprise. Bottle at Brickskellers in D.C. Pours a very dark black/brown color with hazy brown head. Smells of coffee and chocolate. Mouthfeel is almost like chocolate milk, thick and sweet with roasted chocolate flavors and coffee, very tasty. Definitely one of my favorite cream stouts, I will look for this beer whenever I am in the mood for something dark and heavier.
