LeMunche (66), Orland Park, Illinois, USA Jan 23, 2008 I wasn’t impressed with this stout. I had it a while ago but forgot the name. Just been calling it the "trying too hard beer." What I mean is, it has some flavor, actually a good amount of flavor, but it just seems artificial. No flavors in it that I really enjoyed. Pepsi One of stouts. CaptBier (301), Birmingham, Alabama, USA Jan 23, 2008 Bottle. Pours black as sin with this brown, creamy head and some lacing. Nice aroma of chocolately cream and coffee. Tastes of chocolate with some coffee and some alcohol. Nice bitter finish, and very easy to drink. IndianaRed (1553), Boise, Idaho, USA Jan 22, 2008 Bottle pours a deep black with a small lith brown head. Coarse spotty lacing. Light roasted aroma. Flavors of modest roasted and a bit of that grape jelly. Light bitterness at the end. Some sweetness but not particularly ull bodied. mixinnixon2000 (227), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jan 22, 2008 Bottle. My friend and I thought this stout was trying too hard. some chocolate and coffee. nothing too special KnN (715), Greenbelt, Maryland, USA Jan 21, 2008 Nice mouthfeel. Good aroma of chocolate and coffee. Nice creamy texture. Very smooth. SuperDave70 (1157), Beautiful Sunny Mesa, Arizona, USA Jan 19, 2008 A nice creamy head tops a rich looking dark brown pour. Aroma is nice, with dark chocolate, coffee, and dark roasty malts. Flavor is more of the same, with bittersweet chocolate and molasses coming through. A fantstic cream stout. jake65 (1658), Williston, North Dakota, USA Jan 19, 2008 Bottle: Pours dark brown with a small tan head. Nose is roasty and coffee laden, a touch of burnt malts. Flavor is spot on with the aroma, albiet a little more of the burnt malts coming through and hints of bitters in the trailer. Slight hints of dark chocolate. A bit light in the body, but still good. BrewDad (2363), Olympia, Washington, USA Jan 10, 2008 500ml Bottle – Gravity Room – Olympia, WA
Aroma – Dark malt aroma. With a smattering of different Chocolate and coffee aromas.
Appearance – Dark Brown in color, nice head and clear as a bell.
Flavor – Dark malt flavors with a tad light chocolate and coffee flavors.
Palate – Nice Mouthfeel, great texture with a dry sweet finish.
Overall – This was also a surprise as I thought this would not be too good. St Peter’s you brew some mean beers.
