A nice creamy head tops a rich looking dark brown pour. Aroma is nice, with dark chocolate, coffee, and dark roasty malts. Flavor is more of the same, with bittersweet chocolate and molasses coming through. A fantstic cream stout.

Bottle: Pours dark brown with a small tan head. Nose is roasty and coffee laden, a touch of burnt malts. Flavor is spot on with the aroma, albiet a little more of the burnt malts coming through and hints of bitters in the trailer. Slight hints of dark chocolate. A bit light in the body, but still good.

500ml Bottle – Gravity Room – Olympia, WA
Aroma – Dark malt aroma. With a smattering of different Chocolate and coffee aromas.
Appearance – Dark Brown in color, nice head and clear as a bell.
Flavor – Dark malt flavors with a tad light chocolate and coffee flavors.
Palate – Nice Mouthfeel, great texture with a dry sweet finish.
Overall – This was also a surprise as I thought this would not be too good. St Peter’s you brew some mean beers.

500 ml bottle from Wine Warehouse, Jacksonville. Black beer with a nice small tan head and some lacing. Molasses and malt aroma. Flavor is very smooth with molasses, dark malts, strong coffee, and a touch of dark chocolate. Very smooth and creamy mouthfeel. A bit of bitterness at the finish with a British hop character. A really nice stout, very enjoyable and flavorful.

[907-20071204] 1pt0.9floz. Chocolate coffee roasted malt aroma with a bit boozy raisins. Black body with a long-lasting creamy light tan head. Over-roasted coffee bean flavour has a hint of sweet figs. Full body. Creamy as promised.

bottle. Pours black with a fluffy tan head. Aroma of chocolate and coffee. Taste characteristics include caramel, coffee, and some semblance of smoky woods. Very smooth in the mouth, perhaps a bit too smooth. Feels almost like water in the mouth. All in all an enjoyable beer.

500 ml bottle from Bevmo. Pours an opaque black color with a big tan head that lasts a fair while and leaves oodles of lacing. The aroma is medium in strength with distinct notes of molasses and dark chocolate. The flavor is dominated by molasses and anise, with dates, plums and mocha coffee rounding out the sides and back. Mouthfeel is full, smooth and creamy. The finish is long with a pasty sticky effect on the palate. Overall: a better than average stout, but something seems to be missing. Recommended.
