Very competent. Crisp notes of coffee and hints of chocolate. Texture was quite creamy and very smooth - no bitterness or sour afterbite.

I enjoyed this beer. Poured a beautiful black with a nice thick tan head that stayed throughout. I was disappointed by the lack of aroma though.

Bottled 50cl. It pours a black beer with a beautiful fluffy dark beige head. The nose is of eucalyptus, port, dark chocolate, coffee, licorice, cane sugar with hints of cherries and oats. Slightly woody. Full, sweet aromas which deliver quite a punch. The taste is salty with coffee, raisins, dark chocolate and caramel showing up. Lots of oats. Some molasses appearing. Full bodied. The finish is salty with coffee accompanied by milky, woody elements.

Aroma of toffee and burnt caramel. Great looking, but a bit watery in the mouth. Flavor had a bit of coffee. A good stout. I’d drink it again. Dry finish.

500ml bottle from Majestic. Deep black with a ruby tint and a thick tan head that quickly dispersed; smokey aroma; smooth and velvety with a bittersweet taste, some chocolate and cofee but not overpowering, and a touch of lactic sourness; dry and smokey finish.

Pours to a thick, off-white head. The appearance of the beer was dark brown. Aroma was of roasted malts and chocolate. Initial flavour was sweet and malty. The finish was alcoholic and bitter in roasted malts. Very smooth on the palate. Good overall beer.
