3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
500ml bottle from Utobeers, London (£3.20):
Sweet smelling, almost like a foreign extra stout with a mix of barely and some really strong, dark fruits coming through and a very noticeable alcohol aroma too. Quite strong on the nose.
Black with a thin, bubbly tan head that stays as a thin lacing on top of the beer for much the duration.
Very sweet with hints of alcohol laced through it and a few darker fruits and sugar. Roasted malts & some milk chocolate that stop the beer seeming too dark. I could detect a hint of coffee and some further chocolate that is a little darker this time around but to be honest it is too much like a foreign extra stout for my liking.
Smooth and light-medium with slightly warming alcohol burn and a bittersweet feel throughout. Soft and carbonation is about medium and very slightly creamy.
Almost like a Foreign Export Stout. Sweet and laced with more alcohol than anticipated. The mouthfeel was pretty good and the taste was certainly one that grew on me although it’s unlikely I’ll pick this one up again.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle 50 cl. Black in color with small brown foamy lacing head. First taste has a pretty nice strong roasted flavor. Has also some milk chocolate, nuts, roasted malts, coffee, creamy, licorice. Very nice smooth creamy stout with well rounded aromas and a good slightly bitter finish. Goes down very easy. Would probably suit well with some desert for example chocolate cake.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
copper aroma with hints of dark potentially forbidden!!? fruits. Dark almost black but more blackurrant appearance, opaque reddish brown. no head. Sharper, lighter but snappy taste at front of tonguew followed by thicker burnt sensation towards the back of the tongue. good carbonation forr mouthfeel, little bubbles but liquid is thinner than ideal.. alright but a bit of a letdown.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Black body with an average, frothy, tan head, mostly diminishing with some lacing.
Moderate-to-heavy malty (roasted) and hoppy aroma with notes of coffe, liquorice, nuts and some raisins and cherry that become more evident when the beer warms up.
Moderate-to-heavy bitter flavour with moderate sweet character at the beginning; bitter finish with roasted notes.
Medium body with creamy texture; soft carbonation.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 16/20
0.5l bottle. Pours a clear Coca-Cola like colour, but looks pitch black in the snifter glass. Unfortunately, no head formed at all and thus there was no lacing either, but there were some spots of beige-brownish foam in the glass. Although very anonymous on the nose, this beer has an exquisite combination of flavours, ranging from (almost harsh) notes of burnt bread, cocoa nibs, alcohol, liqourice and coffee, to milder tones of woody flavours, toffee and milk chocolate. The taste is bittersweet and acidic on the tongue, while the aftertaste is mainly a weak acidity. The mouthfeel is fairly soft, with a mild carbonation, but still not nearly as creamy as I had hoped.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle 0.5. Small brownish head, but long existing. Colour of beer is black. Aroma: sweet caffe, bourbon-like notes, tobacco. In flavour: mostly caffe and chocolate mixed with sweetness. At the end small punch hops, papperness. This beer is pretty good... balanced, not oversweet as I expected.
