Pours dark brown with light but lasting head. Aroma of chocolate and vanilla, some port notes. Has light roasty notes with upfront bitterness. Nice velvety body with clean finish. Great beer! The head takes its time to dissipate, and when it does, it leaves some nice lacing behind on the glass. I forgot to smell before I poured, so I only caught a quick whiff before the head sealed in the aroma. It was earthy and strangely familiar. I’m not sure what it reminds me of, but I’m sure I’ll remember it as I’m drifting off to sleep some night. Flavor is espresso, but with earthy undertones that make me think of roasted onions, beets, and parsnips. Very wet mouthfeel. I am enjoying this one a lot. tagz (334), USA

Poured a dark oil black with a nice brown head. Very buttery aroma. Good stout, unsweet chocolate hints and just a little roasted hint in the finish. robforbes (1085), Bremerton, Washington, USA
