RblWthACoz (963), Brooklyn, New York, USA Sep 7, 2007 Smooth and creamy with an excellent edge. Hard to judge it beyond that, except to say that I love it. Sometimes words aren’t necessary. puboflyons (590), New Hampshire, USA Sep 4, 2007 I love the bottle because it looks like something out of the 18th Century even though the brewery hasn’t been around very long. An extremely dark brown, almost black pour with a reasonable beige head. I note a roasted chocolate or cocoa aroma mixed in with a bit of hops. Creamy mouth feel and smooth going down. One of the best stouts I’ve had. Capa (955), Yokosuka, Japan Sep 4, 2007 Pours very dark with ruby highlights and a thin beige head. Aroma is pleasent. Roasted, chocolate, milk, vanilla, alcohol, and molasses. Body is a bit thin. Flavor is similar to the aroma. Roasted malts, chocolate, molasses, and milk. Seemingly a stout’s stout. Good. AgentSteve (1334), SF Bay Area, California, USA Sep 3, 2007 From the bottle. This is the best one I have tried from St. Pete’s. Nice, creamy flavor, malty, coffee, and chocolate undertones. I’ll have it again. SamGamgee (1396), Santa Cruz (La Selva), California, USA Sep 2, 2007 Had this With dinner at the sports bar in Lund, 50cl bottle into an English pint. Poured black with a small brown head that dissipated completely to leave a beer that looked just like a dark coke, or jagermeister without any green tint. Strange. This was odd because one of my friends got the same beer, and his head lasted a good 20min, and we poured almost the same; go figure. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, brown sugar. I was highly anticipating the first sip. Nice bitter chocolaty taste with lots of roasted malt in there, but there was an odd liquorice aftertaste that became more pronounced as the beer warmed. Palate was full, oily, and creamy, with low carbonation, like a nearly flat soda. My first cream stout, and after this experience, I don’t think that i will be seeking them out. vadersnightcap (80), Scotland Sep 2, 2007 Bottled - a highly unusual medicne like bottle.
Very heavy on roasted flavours and tastes like it has been spiced.
Very creamy, perhaps slightly too much carbonisation kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Date: 07/26/2004
