Sep 2, 2007 Had this With dinner at the sports bar in Lund, 50cl bottle into an English pint. Poured black with a small brown head that dissipated completely to leave a beer that looked just like a dark coke, or jagermeister without any green tint. Strange. This was odd because one of my friends got the same beer, and his head lasted a good 20min, and we poured almost the same; go figure. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, brown sugar. I was highly anticipating the first sip. Nice bitter chocolaty taste with lots of roasted malt in there, but there was an odd liquorice aftertaste that became more pronounced as the beer warmed. Palate was full, oily, and creamy, with low carbonation, like a nearly flat soda. My first cream stout, and after this experience, I don’t think that i will be seeking them out.

Very heavy on roasted flavours and tastes like it has been spiced.
Very creamy, perhaps slightly too much carbonisation

Aug 31, 2007 Bottle. Thick, small-bubbled brown frothy head. Completely black. Very malty, extremely chocolaty. Very bitter chocolatey, excellent balance and perfect with a Cuban.

Aug 17, 2007 16.9 ounce bottle in pint glass. Pours black with lasting brown head and excellent lace. Aroma of chocolate milk, and farm. Roasted chocolate and fruity raisin flavors with very strong bitter finish. Medium body and medium-low carbonation make for nice mouthfeel. An excellent beer that I knew nothing about.
