Pours black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, oat and licorice. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long chocolate, licorice finiish. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

pours black with sustaining brown head. Aroma of cocoa, lactose, chocolate cake. Medium bodied, smooth, creamy, slightly astringent finish. Flavor of roast and soft chocolate. Not bad.

Delicious stout. Nice aroma of roasted malt, licorice, chocolate and, indeed, cream. Semi-sweet, but yet bitter. Round taste with a smoky finish. Much enjoyed!

Bottle. Pours dark amber with thick foam. Aroma has malts and chocolate, taste is malty, chocolately and sweet. Very smooth and nice to drink.

Pours a dark black, nearly opaque. Thick and foamy dark tan head with good retention and just a bit of lace. Intense smoked malts with some dark chocolate and licorice, almost picking up a charred whisky-like aroma
Roasted malts with a smoky bitterness. Flavors of bitter-sweet chocolate, charcoal, butterscotch, and a bit if sweet milk-like sweetness. Finishes slightly sweet with a smoky malt finish. Very light carbonation, medium body, creamy mouthfeel. Seems like it needs just a bit more carbonation to give it a bite. Overall an enjoyable brew. Smoky yet sweet with a bitter chocolaty finish. My only complaint was the mouthfeel was a little off for me.

Flaske fra polet: som det står i bryggeriets egen omtale - a satisfying bittersweet aftertaste. Det som kommer før ettersmaken er det heller ingenting å si på, rund, balansert og med mye smak av kaffe og mørk sjokolade. En touch av røykmalt? I så fall ikke mer enn jeg fortsatt nyter helheten. En god stout.

Svart som natten, illa som katten ! Vet inte om jag är förkyld men rycker aroman är mycket svag. Smaken är bättre. Svårt att sätta fingret på denna. Fail?!

Nice, thick, brown head. On the nose i get caramel, chocolate, sweetness, and some dark fruits. Not very carbonated, slick, thick mouthfeel with a sweet-ish taste of Chocolate, caramel, dark fruits, coffee and some liqorish

0.5 flaske kjøpt på vinmonopolet holmlia. Svart farge med beige skum. Smaker av brent malt,bumle,lakris,mørk sjokolade og kaffe. En real sjokolade øl med ørlite snev av røyk ettersmak
