3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Tesco. Poured a clear dark brown with a thin broken off white head. The aroma is liqourice and malt. The flavour is medium bitter light sweet with a smooth creamy chocolate malt palate. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation. Fully deserves its rating.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a dark amber/brown with some head that dissipates. Aroma is quite alcoholic with hints of roasted malts. Taste is sweeter, some roasted, coffee and chocolate notes. Aftertaste is grassy, but after a while a strong chocolate taste comes around. Best part of the beer!

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a very dark near black with a nice moderate tan head. Aroma is yeasty with sour notes. Taste is creamy thick and sweet but not overly. Balanced with mild hops and a little of roasted malt bitterness. Taste is much better than the aroma.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours with a dark brown almost black color and a very small off-color head. There’s virtually no bubbles present. The aroma is very gentle, some malts and some alcohol aroma. The taste is contrary to expectations not very strong, pleasantly creamy with quite some roastiness and some little coffee. Due to lack of carbo it has a slightly stale feel, but it’s very drinkable and enjoyable.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle poured a dark brown hue w/ a large tan head diminishing to a nice cap w/ lacing. Big bready malty licorice aromas. Initial flavor is moderate sweet w/ a light bitter finish. Tastes are bread, dark chocolate, malt, and a moderate roast. Medium bodied, creamy mouthfeel, and a light warmth in the finish.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle into goblet. Opaque black with lingering creamy mocha head. Good malt aroma. In the mouth, rich bold and dark like a stout should be. chocolate notes predominate, and the finish lifts with some malt and light hops. Very impressed foot out of a bottle!

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours almost completely black. Opaque, with some red highlights. Persisting cappucino-colored head.
Aroma: strong presence of brisith malts, with hints of fresh roast and certain tartiness (lactose?).
Taste: More roast, hints of a bit overcooked toast and fudge. And at the heart of it all - the robust and incomparable british malt. Finish is smooth and creamy, with a touches of nice tartiness and bitterness. I, personally, would’ve preferred some more complexity.
Overall: Pleasant beer. Easily one of the better St.Peters propositions.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
A very good stout, it is very dark brown with a small head. The medium body has a complex malt taste and a subtle creaminess. The pronounced hop flavors prevent this from being too cloying on the palate. I really like the green bottle.
