Used to be my favourite stout so it was interesting to see if my preference still is the same! This really is a nice and enjoyable, easy drinking stout. Not as complex as a quality imperial stout would be. Great creamy mouthfeel with a medium body. Chokolate, plums, some liquorice, roastiness are the main flavours that developes in time.

Apparently black, candles purple hues are appreciated. Mousse cream / light brown low retention without any trace of lace. Aroma of toast and roasted malts. Copious notes to black, mocha and chocolate cream with more subtle wood / vanilla cake with dark fruit and a touch of yeast mixed with a floral touch. smooth and creamy, palatable, mellow and sweet taste at the beginning. Highlights include roasted malts and a taste of dark fruit cake and chocolate to help hide the alcohol, it just appears. very restrained bitterness that comes late in the drink in response to roasted malt. It ends with a very mild taste mixture of sweetness and bitterness. medium-high degree of lightweight body and carbon

Pours thick black color with creamy beige head. Beautiful smell with subtle sweetness to it - caramel, tofee, milk... It’s like you’re smelling cake, not a beer. Lovely. Full body with soft carbonation. Very creamy and very smooth. Taste is very rich. Caramel, milk, roasted coffee, toffee. A bit smoked with a very subtle bitternes to it. Faint notes of alcohol and dark chocolate are present in the aftertaste. Finish is long and dry. Overall, this is an outstanding stout. Up there with the best of them, this one is an absolute must have. Awesome!

This was the best stout we have had. And for once the panel is rather unison. And the bottle in itself topped the evening! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

500ml bottle. Dark umber in colour, pours with a thin caramel-coloured head. The head itself dissipates very quickly, along with much of the aroma. The aroma is burnt coffee, with dark chocolate and green olives. The flavour is slightly weaker than I would have hoped, but smooth, and it tastes of burnt coffee with a hint of thick cream lurking in the background. Leaves a slightly dry mouthfeel upon swallowing. A satisfying stout overall.

Bottled. Pours black with a small tan head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee and dark fruit notes. Sweet flavor that ends up more dry with a hint of bitterness. Medium bodied, oily texture and soft carbonation. A very nice Stout indeed. 🌟🌟🌟🌟
