Bottle. Black colour with a tan head. Nice aroma of tar, smoke & chocolate. Flavour is more tar & smoke. Soft mouthfeel, really nice.

The highest rated of the St. Peter’s beers. Poured from bottle with no head and a little carbonation that you can feel, but hard to see. Green bottle (harumph) and cool shape. Very dark opaque color. Slight roasted grain smell. Mellow dry flavor. A little too mellow. A little peppery lingering taste. other reviews say I should try the porter.

Bottle at room temperature. Pitch pour with ruby tints against the light. Dimpled tan head receding to a halo. Big, deep, tempting snout with chocolate, oak, vanilla, coffee, earth, soy...but mostly chocolate. Creamy and charred, with a cocoa-rich opening sweetness, briney middle and intensely smoky, clinging tobacco aftertaste. More character, body and lip-smacking burnt cocoa than some much stronger stouts. And the alcohol is beautifully hidden. Silky, satisfying and dangerous.

Appearance: Black in color, with a bubbly brown head. The head and any traces of lacing soon vanished, leaving it to look like a sad, flat Pepsi. Smell: The aroma is decent, with roasted malts, dark chocolate, tobacco, and soy present. Taste: Lots of upfront sweet roastiness, which gives way to a smokey creaminess and finishes with an all encompassing burnt flavor. Disappointed, this wasn’t at all what I was expected. Thankfully, I only purchased a single bottle. That’s the ultimate retort to a so-so beer. "Do your worst, you’ll be gone soon enough." Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied, smooth, creamy and with a very soft carbonation. Drinkability: It was all a bit mundane for me. The best part of this beer experience was the shape of the bottle. Anyway, just thought I’d share.

Pours a satisfying black with a thin tan head. Aroma of sweet dark malt, chocolate, earth, and salty diacetyl. Wonderful earthy, malty flavour. Very light hopping - nice peppery fuggles and light alcohol & roasted malt finish. Light notes of diacetyl. Thick, creamy body and appropriate carbonation. An excellent sweet stout, probably better when fresh.

Pitch black pour, I smelled the chocolate as soon as I opened the cap, small head, chocolate-malt aroma with a dark chocolate flavour with a thump of burnt malt, enjoyable

Bottle. 16.9 fl. oz. Very dark, opaque, brown color with small tan head. Chocolatey, malty aroma. Soft, creamy texture with very little carbonation. Terrific sweet flavor with with a light bitter finish. A good after-dinner beer.

THOUGHTS: Smelled like both chocolate syrup and powdered hot chocolate mix. Almost like an imperial stout without the high ABV. The initial chocolate flavor was incredible, but then a ton a bitterness comes in and in combination with the fizzy carbonation robs the mought of some of the flavor. This could really have been called chocolate stout instead of cream. And it just got better as it warmed. If you like dark chocolate flavored beers this is a must. TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a dark brown that appeared almost black in the glass with a tan average head that mostly diminished. The aroma was moderate chocolate (both milk and dark) and lightly hoppy. The initial flavor was heavily sweet and lightly bitter, while the finish was sweet and heavily bitter with an average to long finish. The body was medium to full and both dry and oily with fizzy carbonation and a chalky finish.
