doubelknv3 (559), Illinois, USA Apr 22, 2007 Roast, expresso, honey, and syrup notes in the aroma. Black with thin brown head. Sweet roasted malts, mild hops, and coffee flavour. Roast and bitter finish. shrubber85 (2833), Wallhalben, Germany Apr 21, 2007 Bottle. Sweet smoky dark chocolate malt aroma. Dark black with large tan head and nice lacing. Smoky milk chocolate malt flavor with light hops finish. Slightly light but a nicely blended beer. Deliciousl mcox90 (618), Wilton, USA Apr 21, 2007 Cool bottle. Poured a dark brown, almost black with not much head. The first few sips tasted almost metallic. As the beer warmed a bit it tasted better. I did enjoy it and will definitely try it again. tgncc (796), Bellmore, New York, USA Apr 17, 2007 Decent cream stout, by no means the best. Aroma is typical of cream stouts, chocolate with a roasty scent. Appearance is dark, dark black. the flavor is typical of cream stouts, only a little weaker than most. It has a thick mouthfeel, creamy. Decent finish, not too abrupt. Not bad, but at $3.99 for a 16.9 oz bottle, I’m not that impressed. Maria (6056), Thisted, Denmark Apr 6, 2007 This was my first great love within the stout’s, so it will hold a special place in my heart forever. The head is creamy and nice, the color is black/brown, the aroma is nice with notes of chocolate. The flavour has light sweetness, is mild with notes of chocolate, a little caramel and a hint of coffee. I still think it’s a really nice stout, mild and smooth. OleR (2008), Oslo, Norway Mar 31, 2007 Updated: Apr 1, 2007Comes in a 500 ml (specially?) designed bottle. Dark brown/near black apperance. Small lasting tan head leaving almost perfect laces. Aroma is not that impressing; weak, quite roasty with a little chocolate. Taste is more powerful ;Sweet dark malts, a lingering bitterness along with coffeebeans and dark chocloate. Healthy body. Nice. thegreenrooster (1811), St.louis, Missouri, USA Mar 30, 2007 Pour is a black with a small tan head. Aroma is super dark chocolate malts with a nice roasted smokyness to it. Flavor is chocolate with some vanilla and caramel appearing. This is one of those beers you see at any half way decent beer store but for some reason you never pick up. A tasty example of the style and recommended, too bad i did not pick up sooner. . buckybeer (666), Eau Claire, Wisconsin, USA Mar 28, 2007 A black pour with a small light tan head. Pretty nice looking. Aroma is light smoke, bitter malts and just a tab of ripened fruit. Flavor is bitter cocoa, malts, coffee and light smoke. Very tasty.
