jacobwennbom (274), Uppsala, Sweden May 11, 2006 Pours black with large dirty top. Flavours of smoke, hops and whiskey. Very intresting indeed. Also quite sweetish. A bit thin which takes down the palate for me. Aroma had traces of coffee and hops. Dorqui (1353), Brescia, Italy May 11, 2006 Much creamy and supporter head, optimal persistence. Intense black color, much dense and impenetrable one. Determined and complex scent; strongly alcoholic notes with rumors of coffee and liquorice. Medium prickly and dense taste; wrapping impact and mostly alcoholic with also brace notes of malt, wood and coffee. Bitter and extended final. hophead75 (1945), Boonton, New Jersey, USA May 8, 2006 500 ml. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma is burnt/roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, actually seems to have some bourbon aroma also. Taste is roast, chocolate, coffee, with some molasses/caramel. Creamy mouthfeel. biznizness (930), Mooresville, North Carolina, USA May 5, 2006 Oh yeah, this is the good stuff. St. Peter makes me want to go to church... if they had this beer there. Awesome stout. Barrabass (31), Karlstad, Sweden Apr 29, 2006 Thick creamy lacing head. Dark brown almost black colour. Smells burnt, dark fruits and dark chocolate. The taste is heavy burnt. ARW (3), England does not count Apr 25, 2006 Definately a Winter brew. Almost overpowering flavours - not too sweet but with heavy nutty tones. Bottle not too disimilar to draught (which I believe is only available at the brewery). Little if no head, which is normal (and preferred) in these parts. IrishBoy (2686), Bakersfield, California, USA Apr 15, 2006 Opaque ebony-black with almost no head. Malty aroma with vanilla hints and a chocolate malty flavor with tiny hints of coffee and molasses. Hop bitterness in the finish and aftertaste. sacton99 (1), Hubertus, Wisconsin, USA does not count Apr 14, 2006 An excellent smooth stout with a slightly sweet flavor. Not too bitter, I would recommend this to any fan of stouts. Did not feel as carbonated as other more famous stouts. Earlier Rating: 4/14/2006 Total Score: 4.4 This is a great stout for people who enjoy the complex flavor and texture of stouts. The beer improves with a little rest and finishes wonderfully, with a bittersweet taste I haven’t found in many other stouts. If you have the opportunity, St. Peter’s Cream Stout is a must try.
