Markys (64), Stockholm, Sweden Jun 13, 2009 Aroma of coffee, raisin and roasted malt. Flavor of liquorice, raisin, roasted malt and dark chocolate. It also has a nice bittersweet finish. jtodd5dot1 (32), Marina, California, USA Jun 11, 2009 Poured and looked like any standard stout, dark smooth though not with much head but a lot of carbonation. Much easier to drink for us dark beer novices. Not very bitter, very complex taste, with very little to no mocha or coffee taste (thank goodness!). italarican (157), Astoria, New York, USA Jun 6, 2009 Pours a deep brown with subtle tan head. Aroma of roast malt and something sweet, perhaps the cream. I like the mix of cocoa and malt flavors with only a minimal touch of alcohol. A nutty aftertaste. Some density, although not as thick as I’d expect. Theis (3617), Denmark Jun 4, 2009 Bottle at Plan B - Thanks to EMO Mark. Black - light brown head. Licorice, chocolate, roastred, burned, light smoked, sweetness, lactic, smooth body. OK. BroSpud (586), , Massachusetts, USA Jun 3, 2009 Bottle. Very unique beer. Much thinner than a typical stout though it does pour a dark brown. Malty with a bitter after taste. Best thing about this one is the cool looking bottle. Swalden28 (1442), McKinney, Texas, USA Jun 2, 2009 Bottle from Kegs & Barrels in Plano, TX. Pours a dark brown/black with chocolate head. Aroma of baking cocoa and dark roast. Flavor is nice, dark roast, baking cocoa, some alcohol. Mouth feel is nice, heavy body, kinda silky, medium carbonation. Overall, pretty good... jimmack34 (560), Lancaster, Ohio, USA May 25, 2009 Bottle. Pours a dark brown with a very nice soap faom tan head. Smells sweet like dark fruit and sweet malt. Taste is alot better than the smell. Flavors of sweet fermented dark fruit at first, then a buttery, nutty taste, slight bitter roasty aftertaste. The more you drink, the better it gets. Tons of lacing. Aftertaste after a couple minutes is even a little smokey. Very nice complexity.
