Bottle at KBH Festival, 2009. Pours a pitch blavk with a creamy off white head. Nose is grain, butter and roast. Medium and smooth palate. Taste is mild roast - liquorice, caramel and chocolate. Ends dry. Simple and tasty.

This was a unique brew. Poured as black as used oil with a quickly dissipating dark tan head. Had somewhat of a sour belgian beer smell, not quite like other stouts. Very thin palate, roasty malt, coffee and caramel taste. Not too bad.

1 pt. bottle. Pours almost black with a thick, creamy, light brown head. The nose has raisin, chocolate, a bit of alcohol, light hops (grass perhaps?), and coffee notes. Tart on the tongue with almost a bit of sour milk taste. Coffee, bitter chocolate, a touch of smoke, raisin, and hops (grass again?) on the palate. Medium carbonation with a medium-rich mouthfeel. Medium-long finish with a little coffee and chocolate lingering on the tongue. A very good stout!

Chocolate brown with a lighter mocha-colored head, pours thick but fades fairly quickly, leaving plenty of threads. Malty, smoky, faint chocolate and vanilla aromas. Thick, faintly carbonated. Slightly smoky taste with chocolate and caramel. Quite tasty!

Nice aroma of milk chocolate and a little roasted malt. Pours nearly black with a creamy brown one-finger head. Flavor is mostly sweet chocolate, some roasted malt and vanilla, and a little cherry and raisin. Creamy with low carbonation. Delicious!
