| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 3, 2009 Bottle. Very unique beer. Much thinner than a typical stout though it does pour a dark brown. Malty with a bitter after taste. Best thing about this one is the cool looking bottle. Swalden28 (1446), McKinney, Texas, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 25, 2009 Bottle. Pours a dark brown with a very nice soap faom tan head. Smells sweet like dark fruit and sweet malt. Taste is alot better than the smell. Flavors of sweet fermented dark fruit at first, then a buttery, nutty taste, slight bitter roasty aftertaste. The more you drink, the better it gets. Tons of lacing. Aftertaste after a couple minutes is even a little smokey. Very nice complexity. Dedollewaitor (3642), Odense, Denmark

Nose is grain, butter and roast. Medium and smooth palate. Taste is mild roast - liquorice, caramel and chocolate. Ends dry. Simple and tasty. OD40oz (600), Box Elder, South Dakota, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | May 10, 2009 This was a unique brew. Poured as black as used oil with a quickly dissipating dark tan head. Had somewhat of a sour belgian beer smell, not quite like other stouts. Very thin palate, roasty malt, coffee and caramel taste. Not too bad. Elwood (677), Leesburg, Virginia, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 7, 2009 1 pt. bottle. Pours almost black with a thick, creamy, light brown head. The nose has raisin, chocolate, a bit of alcohol, light hops (grass perhaps?), and coffee notes. Tart on the tongue with almost a bit of sour milk taste. Coffee, bitter chocolate, a touch of smoke, raisin, and hops (grass again?) on the palate. Medium carbonation with a medium-rich mouthfeel. Medium-long finish with a little coffee and chocolate lingering on the tongue. A very good stout! carruthm (1121), Seattle, Washington, USA
