The best cream stout I’ve had. Dark, thick, lot’s of body, roast, coffee, hops and under it all a creaminess that isn’t sweat or ’brite’ but it coats the inside of you mouth like drinking cream from the carton. Very nice indeed.

Very dark, as it should be. Little to no head. Chocolate aroma is instantly detected. Picked this beer up in Cost Plus in Buford, room temp. Might have tasted better if they had kept it cold. The taste improved as I drunk it. Very good cream stout. I’ll have this again.

Over here on the West Coast, we have a lot of hoppy beers. Thus, when I think stout beer, I think of lots of bitter. This was a lot smoother than what I am used to, and I enjoyed that. It had the coffee and chocolate, but with a gentle approach.

Pours jet black with a big brown head. Smells lightly smoky. Malty and creamy. Sweet. Taste is lightly bitter. Milk chocolatey and smooth. Creamy and light roasted malt flavors. Full and smooth. I mean damn smooth, velvety smooth. Lightly bitter aftertaste. Damn good, damn drinkable. A good English milk stout. A nice changeup from big bitter stouts. Always good to explore stouts of all varieties. Must check out other St. Peter’s brews...

Very nice ale indeed! Aroma creamy, dark chocolate, malt. Black, small tan head. Rich, plenty of cream flavour, malty on the palate, not much else. Very very nice drinker, a little too rich, though, alcohol disguised well.

Dark brown, small filmy head, smells of sweet bread and choc. Taste is..... good but seems to have fizzed out a bit. If it were more fresh I know that the chocolate cream tones would have opened up more. I’ll try again.... and again

This is what a stout should look like. Opaque black with a big foamy brown head. The head takes its time to dissipate, and when it does, it leaves some nice lacing behind on the glass. I forgot to smell before I poured, so I only caught a quick whiff before the head sealed in the aroma. It was earthy and strangely familiar. I’m not sure what it reminds me of, but I’m sure I’ll remember it as I’m drifting off to sleep some night. Flavor is espresso, but with earthy undertones that make me think of roasted onions, beets, and parsnips. Very wet mouthfeel. I am enjoying this one a lot.

Appearance: nice dark color with reddish tones. Medium head, beige color, but few persistent. Aroma: highly toasty, sweet malty, with common touches of the style such as bitter chocolate, grain coffee and candy. The cereals seem recently toasty. Reminiscences of cacao liquor, vintage wine and truffle. Spicy like of clove and nut. Flavor: mainly toasty and malty; sweet with reminiscences of grain coffee, handcrafted bitter chocolate, candy, black olives, “alfajor”, truffle and ripe-dark-fruits; such as, figs and plums. Sweet start, finish with persistent bitterness of roast cereals and light metallic sensation. Liquory and winy (merlot). Fascinating toasty. Palate: Medium to full body, with silky and viscous texture. Low carbonation. Very good beer, persistent toasty flavor, good balance.
