1 Pint .9 ounce bottle shared with Illini08. Poured black as night with a .5 finger width creamy head that disappeared quickly. The aroma was definitely pleasant with strong hints of coffee, chocolate, and nut with vanilla and malt undertones. Very light mouthfeel. Tasted of chocolate and coffee. It had a slightly bitter aftertaste but did not take away from the overall experience. This was a very tasty beer!

A black colored beer, with a thick beige head. The aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, wit dark fruits. The taste of roasted malt, some bitter chocolate and sweets in the back. A little fruity like raisins. The aftertaste is dry and bittersweet.

This is the first beer of a long list that I need to re-rate due to my maturing palate. Pours deep dark brown with light amber hues noticeable on the sides. Very thin tan head. Smells of sweet cream and roasted malts. This beer has a medium body which harbors a delicate sweet cream flavor against a deep roasted malt backdrop. Finishes lightly hopy along with burnt coffee and earthy notes making their way forward as well.

Bottle pours opaque black with thin tan head. Aroma is coffee. First taste is sweet and roasted malt. There is a slight cream flavor but roasted malt carries throughout the whole beer. The finish is clean and there is slight coffee aftertaste. Pretty good stout.

Pours pitch black out of the bottle. Sweet chocolate aroma some roasted malts and lots of coffee. Smooth mouthfeel. Lots of roasted chocolate flavor. Malty bitterness and coffee as well.

Sweet, assertive soy-sauce aroma. Very dark. No head with a very smooth and bitter, dry character. Slightly thin, but a good taste and high drinkability. Dry finish. Very English.

Very dark brown, almost black with a tan/light brown head. The aroma has a nice toasted malt scent, with nice dark chocolate, nuts and just a bit of coffee. The flavor has a nice combination of bitterness, first from the burnt bread, and finishing with a subtle hoppy bitterness. In the middle is rather tasty piece of burnt bread with dark chocolate sauce and washed down by thick, but bland, coffee. The sweetness exists, but is somewhat limited, due the decent roasted and hoppy bitterness. A pleasant cream stout, and probably worth drinking, but not all that amazing.
