| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 19, 2004 Pours dark with almost no head at all, aroma is sweet roasted chocolate, initial flavor follows. Syrupy sweet, smooth with cocoa prominent, medium body. Agree that this is very much like an imperial stout, perhaps more drinkable than most. Overall very enjoyable. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 29, 2005 I was surprised how good this stout was, considering I usually dont like sweet stouts, and everything else from St Peters has been less than average for me. Pours a nice black (a bit on the light side) small head, leaves a thin oily film. Aroma is similar to Mackesons- sweet, light roast and some chocolate. Sweet smooth flavor with a nice nutty light roasted aftertaste. jazz88 (2240), San Francisco, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 28, 2003 Bottle. Black as oil with a light bubbly brown head. The aroma has a hint of sour dark fruit buried in an otherwise well roasted coffee nose. As it warms a dry cocoa hint reveals itself in the aroma. Creamy and smooth, slightly tart at the front with a long milky roasted coffee finish. Vac (2394), San Diego, California, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 2, 2003 pours black with a tan head. roasty, curranty sweet nose. as the name implies, it has a creamy, smooth mouthfeel. mildly smoky, roasted malt flavours, hints of vanilla sweetness. I’d never guess this beer was 6.5%abv. a nice sweet stout. Brodie (540), Blowing Rock, North Carolina, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Jan 17, 2004 Aroma is nice - chocolate, coffee, light fruits, walnuts. Very dark brown, almost black, tan head diminished quickly. Flavor is a little disappointing, the chocolate and coffee are there but a little watered down. Slight roasty bitterness in the finish. Full bodied and creamy. Overall its not bad, the flavor could be more intense.
