Drunk at room temperature (not me, the beer). Deep, impenetrable black with a dense cappuccino-like head with some retention. Plenty of lacing. Gentle aroma of milk chocolate. Delicious, creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is all chocolate with a touch of roasted bitterness. Gently bitter aftertase. There is sweetness in the flavour and aroma but it’s never cloying. An absolute delight from beginning to end.

Kicsi, de tartós hab, fekete szín. Csokis, pörkölt malátás illatok. Fekete csokis ízvilág, pici pörkölt malátás savanykássággal, krémes állaggal. Hosszú utóíze a korty folytatása. Közepesen testes sör

500ml bottle. Almost black with a two finger brown head, dissipating quickly. Aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, roasted malt, and some dark fruit, bit of liquorice too I think. Taste of dark chocolate, liquorice, dark fruit, alcohol. Creamy mouthfeel, though it borders on being a little thin. Great stout.

Tap at De Paas. Clack with creamy dark beige head. Filter coffee, lots of roasted barley, sweet fudge, light lime candy, grass, peach, blueberry, apricot. Medium sweet with roasted bitter finish. Medium bodied with slight creamy feel. Pretty nice stout.

On tap at corvin. Brown to black colour with a small brown head. Nose is slight sourness with some cocoa. Like a hot chocholte with rotten milk. Taste is low bitterness slight cocoa. Too low carbonation. Meh.

Bottle from Whole Foods in Haight Ashbury in San Francisco. One of the best stouts you’ll ever have. Don’t miss this one.

Originally rated on 8/5/08. Poured a dark black body with a thin tan cap, not much aroma to speak of but there were faint hints of chocolate, and roasted coffee. Good flavors also of chocolate, roasted malts, and coffee. Mouthfeel, i thought was a little watery for a cream stout but it was still decent and smooth. Overall a pretty good beer.
