"We use our Wheat Beer as the base for this beer. The zesty/pithy grapefruit is in complete harmony with the hops and malt."

Bottle @ DØE / Øllets dag, Viby. Pours light golden with a white head. Aroma of light malt, but mostly dominated by grapefruit. Flavor is malt, grapefruit. Thin body, soft carbonation, lightly bitter finish. 010912

Bottle from Meny Vika. Semicloudy light golden, hazy. White head that looks like dishwashing soap. Light aroma of hay, a bit citrus, and after a while some grapefruit shining through. Taste is quite refreshing, and a pleasant surprise after the aroma. It delivers what it says - grapefruit - not like a beer ful of american hops (which in no way is a bad thing in most of those beers), but just grapefruit. Can’t fault a beer calling itself grapefruit for tasting exactly grapefruit, can I? That would be stupid. In addition to the grapefruit, the brewers haven’t let me down by making me think I’m drinking something else than a beer. Like grapefruit soda or something. Oh no, it rather has a good crispy freshness, lightly malty, balanced with bittering hops to accompany the grapefruit. Not the best hop bitterness by far, but hey, they made a grapefruit beer. Grapefruits do sometimes have a strange bitterness. While this beer may not be everyones cup of tea, or rather glass of beer, for what it is I think it’s a good beer that wouldn’t have been a grapefruit beer if the taste was dramatically changed. Just the color and aroma differenting from the real thing here.

A rather still-looking light golden and clear body with a very small white head that disappears fast and doesn’t lace the glass. The aroma is a strange mix of sweet malty notes, wort and citric fruits. The taste is light to moderate sweet with a light bitter finish. Malty flavours with caramel and very pronounced grapefruit, especially in the aftertaste. Ok mouthfeel, light to moderate body and a vary soft carbonation, a bit too soft. I love beers with hoppy grapefruit notes, but this is just too much.

Great bottle. This has a fairly mild grapefruit taste that’s different from grapefruity hops. It really does taste like fresh grapefruit. Not very bitter. Not a bad body for a wheat beer either. Refreshing.

Bottle. Pours golden with a big fluffy white head. Aroma of some grapefruit though mostly a basic wheat maltiness along with a slight citric note. Flavor much the same, a tough bland but somewhat refreshing,

I picked this up at Woodman’s in Rockford, IL in summer 2012 for $3.99. Pours a clear, golden color that resembles the appearance of apple juice. There is a faint scent of grapefruit but mostly of cheap grassy grains like the scent of Heineken indicating I probably won’t like the taste. Taste is overly dry and chalky. Really hard to find any sort of fruit flavor in the beer at all. Decent consistency but that is about it. Nice history on the brewery and everything, but the beer really could use a lot of improvement. In my opinion, the green bottle doesn’t help either. A little more tolerable with every sip, but not something I would recommend to others or try again.

nice light amber, minimal head. i was expecting far more citrus. the bitterness is there, and it is a perfectly decent beer, but i expected more grapefruityness from a grapefruit beer.

0,5l bottle from Beer Bier, Budapest. Hazy golden orange color with medium frothy white head. Interesting citrus aroma - grapefruit of course, with some caramel malt. The combination of the dry bitter grapefruit and the sweet caramel malt is very delicious. The hops cooperate with the fruit aroma. It’s difficult to find out what makes the beer bitter, the hops or the grapefruit. Light bitter taste. Soft to medium body with creamy texture and soft carbonation. Malty, fruity finish. Very delicious beer, refreshing, easy-drink. Real fruity feeling. It’s a well-made fruit beer.
