"We use our Wheat Beer as the base for this beer. The zesty/pithy grapefruit is in complete harmony with the hops and malt."

A zesty taste but I'm not getting much grapefruit from it. Further sips confirm not much of a grapefruit flavor ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

[GBBF 2016, Olympia] - St. Peter’s Grapefruit Beer, 4.7%.

Bottle @ Kosmos, Perugia, Italy. Pours with a hazy orange colour, small white head. Aroma is medium malty, with notes of fruit: good, but quite faint. Taste is mefium sweet, slightly bitter, slightly sour; very good, especially for a beer this light. Medium palate, average carbonation.

Poured into a perfect pint. 3.0 A: Lightly hazed medium orange color. Just one finger of frothy off-white head. Retention is below average and just a few whisps of lacing are left. 3.75 S: Smells like a typical English pale with notes of grapefruit. Mildly toasty with grainy neutral maltiness. Mineral, caramel, earthy hoppiness with grapefruit fruitiness. 3.5 T: Tastes pretty much like it smells. A little hoppier than I was expecting though. Toastiness, graininess, caramel, mineral, earthy hops, light nondescript citrus, and grapefruit. 4.0 M: Medium to heavier medium body. Good moderate carbonation with a nice creaminess. Has some weight to it, but isn’t really chewy. It works well. 3.75 D: Not bad. I don’t know if the grapefruit added anything to the beer, but it didn’t take away either.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - deep golden with a thin head. Nose - pink grapefruit predominantly. Taste - more pink grapefruit and cornflake background. Palate - light to medium bodied with a long dry finish. Overall - decent enough and refreshing. Slightly one dimensional.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours amber with frothy off-white head. The taste is citrusy with surprisingly mild grapefruit notes. A caramel malt base comes through fairly boldly. A pleasant, easy to drink golden ale, but nothing out of the ordinary.
