leaparsons (4001), Leicester, Leicestershire, England Sep 13, 2008 Bottle. Golden with an off-white foam. Aromas are biscuit malts with plenty of citrus. Spicy with tropical fruit. Flavours are bitter citrus and paracetomol - nothing like as good as the aroma suggests. Quite gritty on the palate. Still, reasonable for a gluten free. Ungstrup (11408), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 31, 2008 Bottled. A golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet malty and rather spicy among them ginger. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of straw, ginger, and other spices. The body is thin. Thanks to fonefan and Brugmansia for sharing. yngwie (3602), Kristiansand, Norway Aug 29, 2008 Bottle, thx to fonefan. A clear, golden beer with a small white head. Citrusy nose with hay and grass, quite hoppy. Malty, slightly roasted flavor with a distinct citrusy flavor. Citrusy and bitter in the finish. Medium, quite astringent mouthfeel. It’s far from being a world-class beer, but considering the flavor of most gluten free beers, this is good, and lacks off-flavors. (080822) yespr (6943), Copenhagen O, Denmark Aug 24, 2008 50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a lacing white head. Mild spiced and dry cardboardish aroma. Medium sweet and slight spiced base flavour. Light hoppy on top. Lingering bitterness and mild fruity accent into the finish. Svesse (1821), Hässelby, Sweden Aug 14, 2008 (Bottle, Jerusalem Tavern, Farringdon, London, 4 Aug 2008) Golden colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity nose with citrus, grass and grapefruit. Very fresh. Fruity, grassy taste with notes of orange, mandarin and fresh citrussy hops in the finish. Slightly thin. The Amarillo hops save the day and make this quite a nice one.
