"English Halcyon malts are used together with lager malts. Golding hops provide the bitterness and aroma. The result is a highly distinctive light, golden ale similar in character to a full bodied Czech lager."

Bottle. Golden amber colour small white head. Aroma is very lager like. Taste is grainy, resin and sweet. reminds me of a Bohemian pilsner as mentioned in commercial description. A hybrid of lager and ale. Nice for a change but not a beer I would be drinking on a regular basis. Could be more of favourite with discerning pilsner drinkers.

"Surprising slightly skunky light hop aroma. Light bodied. Flavor well balanced between sweetish caramel malt and spicy hops with a bit of pine. Not bad, but a little light and boring. I definitely prefer the darker brews from St peters."

See: Pale gold. No head. Light lacing. Smell: Malt, biscuits Taste: Sweet malt. Hoppy bitterness towards end. Pallet: Light carbonation. Thin mouthfeel. Lingering bitterness at the end. Ok, middle of the road. More largery than ale. Nothing special, quite forgettable really.

golden colour, not too much, not too dense white head;aroma of bread, some caramel, maybe honey and grassy notes; taste of malty sweetness, some bitterness and cardboard...well, not really convincing beer - only its colour is notable
