A traditional English porter made with honey for a truly unique aroma and taste. A delicous mellifluous beer

DWG; Pours dark brown with a fading off-white to tan head. Nostrils fills with honey and perfume, luckily also with some with porter notes as coffee and chocolate. Taste is moderate sweet, moderate bitter with a strange, somewhat chemical finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

50cl bottle. BBE 8/11/14 Pours dark brown with a thin white head. Very strong limewood (tilia) honey aroma. Sweet sugar and dark roasted malt prevails in the taste. Light bodied for a porter, and a bit oily. Soft carbonation and a long, sweet finish. Would love to try casked version.

Bottle at home, 500 ml, poured into a snifter. ABV 4.5% Deep brown colour with ruby shades, small tan head, thin but with good retention nevertheless, leaving light lacing on the glass. Aroma is heavy on the honey, covering everything else but with a swirl of the glass aromas of fruits and berries are surfacing, reminds me a bit of Red Bull. Taste also of berries, sweet, bubblegum, lots of honey again, some herbs. Medium thin body with low carbonation, nice dryness on the palate. Nice beer, not what I’d expect from a porter, but still drinkable, not a beer I’d choose often though.

500 ml bottle. Pours a dark brown with light head. Aroma and flavors of honey and talcum powder. Yuck. Mellifluous? Guess a big word is required to cover this crap.

Bottle, 0.50l. Clear dark brown color with medium creamy light brown head and soft visible carbonation. Aroma of honey, flowers and caramel. Taste starts with sweet honey malt and milk chocolate, follows by refreshing fruity notes, while finish is moderate herbal bitter. Full body, oily texture and flat carbonation in palate. It’s a dessert for every honey lover...

Pours dark, has strong smell of honey and tastes like a regular porter in the beginning but has honey aftertaste.
