4.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
500 ml bottle. The bottle is a replica of an original bottle from the early 1800s. Pours clear very dark brown, almost black, with a tiny head. Sweet honey aroma. Roasty malt taste with strong honey notes. Slightly bitter honey palate.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
500ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours clear dark brown, thick beige head. Aromas of honey, vanilla, floral. Taste is quite odd, strong vanilla oakiness, sweet honey and cream, and big floral hit too. Bit much for me. No roastiness, and a bit thin.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 15/20
Lots of vanilla and honey aroma. The taste is quite different though, thin and medicine-like. Not very porter-style, more like dark lager.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
0,5L bottle, BB 18.11.2014. Pours dark ruby-brown with tan head. The head stays for some time. Aroma is sweet and perfumy, flowers, honey. Flavor is sweet and bitter, flowers, honey, roasted malt, caramel. Finish is lingering nutty bitter. Overall: I can honestly say I haven’t had beer like this before, so additional overall point for doing something different (in a good way).

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Dark brown color with tiny head. Strong artificial aroma of perfume (it’s not a honey!) with notes of chocolate. Taste is bitter with continuous unpleasant perfume aftertaste. Strange beer.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bought at Kaufland, Umag, Croatia. Looked like Coca-Cola while pouring, reddish tint, small but lasting brownish head. Very strong dominating spicy honey aroma, like a salutary honey candy, which can be both an advantage and a disadvantage. Although taste leaves some light stout-like bitterness, strong honey aftertaste prevails in the finish. To much honey, which can be good for enthusiasts. Interesting dessert beer for a glass or two, not much more.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
Bottle from local imported beer shop (alcohol content is 4.5% not 5.1%). Pours a dark brown with a very small beige head. Strong sweet aroma of honey and some hints of chocolate. Tastes of honey flavoured cough medicine. Doesn’t remind me of a porter really. For some reason I expected more from this. It turns out that "mellifluous" is an adjective only used to describe sound.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Appearance with dark brown color and low head.
Aroma of roasted malt (coffee, chocolate) and sweet (gum, wax).
Flavor very similar to the aroma. It tastes like Halls.
A different beer.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Fľaša. Tmavo hnedá farba. Vôňa medová, sladká, nugátová. V chuti zo začiatku veľká sladkosť, med alebo skôr medovina, opäť nugátová chuť a lieskové oriešky, káva.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Aroma strong strong honey, but exactly the variety I hate. Dark forest, but somehow ruined, basement. Very dark colour. Taste shows the same honey character with added nougat. The body suffers, it is too thin. Somewhat interesting, but not too good IMO. I can imagine that someone will like it, but definitely not me.
