Tranquillity (1029), Espoo, Finland Apr 25, 2008 Bottled. Dark brown, thick beige head. Strong honey-malt aroma, some roasted dark bread as well. Taste a bit drity bitter, with a honey finish that’s a bit artificial (dunno why though). Excellent palate.
Svesse (1621), Hässelby, Sweden Aug 14, 2008 (Bottle, Jerusalem Tavern, Farringdon, London, 4 Aug 2008) Very dark brown colour with frothy, pale brown head. Malty, roasted nose with lots of honey, chocolate fudge and hints of Dr Pepper soft drink. Kind of weird. Malty, roasted taste with burnt honey notes, chocolate and a fairly bitter finish. Slightly weird and lots of burnt honey character, but still a decent beer. yespr (6162), Copenhagen O, Denmark Aug 7, 2008 50 cL bottle. Pours dark hazzlenut brown with a creamy tan head. Honey herbal aroma and mild roasted malt. Sweet chocolate powder flavour with a mild honey flavour swept through this. Ends with a lingering mix of chocolate and honey - sure works good in chocolate bars - but not in my beer. JK54B (269), Finland Jun 13, 2008 Red brownish colour. Nice beige head. Honey and caramel in the taste.
Also some hoppiness. Not very sweet. punainen6 (64), Finland Jun 12, 2008 Bottle, Creamy brownish head. Smells of honey, herbs. Taste is similar, with honey, malts and even a bit bite on the end. Not having ever had anything quite like this, atleast its original. Eventhought the flavors dont actually come together as good as they could
janir (157), Oulu, Finland Jun 1, 2008 Dark ruby brown color. Medium light brown head. Very strong and sweet aroma: honey, herbs. Flavor is roasted malts, honey, toffee. Medium-bodied and smooth palate. Not very well balanced and I’m not quite into this.
