Felt like it was going to be more than it was but good and crisp nature grows on you. Better if cooler methinks or if it was sunnier here!

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from beershop De Molen @home
pours clear pale golden with a medium white head. Hoppy to the nose. Aroma exists of a lot of grain and mild herbal and floral hops. Doesn’t taste overly bitter, although the finish and aftertaste are dry and bitter.
Good beer, but not the most special out there.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Pour is golden with fluffy white head. Aroma is heavy grain with some roasted malt, light herbal and earthy hops. Taste is grain and light toast with big herbal component. Some pine comes through, with some floral to add. Body and carbonation are medium light.

Belle robe orangée, limpide, carbonation douce, col de mousse persistant, aromes de houblon présents au nez, amertume presente. La finale est longue. Corps moyen. Astringent. (07/10/13)

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
From bottle to snifter. Pour is a deep amber, very thin white head. Nose is grainy, smells like a typical European beer that Heineken smell, grassy and earthy. Taste is light bodied, mostly sweet. Is this supposed to be an IPA?

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On 9th March 2009, from Beer Advocate.
Poured into a Albanian Stela vase shapped glass twice. Pale orange/amber, very little head, more of a wisp and collar, off white in colour. I like a beer to have a good foaming head if possible, this failed big time.
No big aroma, even as the beer warmed in the glass, some hops and malts but nothing much at all.
The taste is very hoppy (for a UK style IPA) and that flavour overides anything and everything else. Although not ’in your face’ it does overpower whatever other hints the brewer has tried to blend in.
Medium body for a UK beer, watery/thin for a 5.5% IPA and lacks a bit of texture or complex-ability.
Nothing wrong with it, just not as exciting as I’d hoped for.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle 0.5l. Pours a rather clear amber with a white head. Aroma is malty, unspectacular. Taste has nothing to do with an IPA imho. Don’t know how this can be labeled IPA. An uninspired sweet brew without hop flavour or bitterness. Awful.

1.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
Smell was fantastic. If only the smell could match the taste. Has a very strong aftertaste of metal. Too much malt, I feel for this type of ale. Overall, a very bad IPA. It was more like a malty bitter ale that was fermented in a brass barrel.

2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
This quite simply isn’t an IPA by modern standards. Or by any standard. I don’t mind an older style IPA, sweet but with a really bitter hoppy finish. But this is just too sweet without the bitter kick. Nose is malty, cereal, taste is burnt toast and orange peel with more malt, slight bitterness to the finish but not enough to balance the sweetness. I have nothing against this beer but for me not a favourite, or at least not on a hot summers day.

2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
This was a disappointment. It’s not really an IPA, but tastes more like a pilsner with just a little bit more hops than usual.
