August 2010. Bottle. A lot of things are a bit odd about this IPA, even the shape of the bottle. More of an old world style IPA without the hop structure and complexity that most of us take for granted.

10,9,8,8,14,8 - 8,65 - 16/5/13

500ml bottle. pours a golden/amber and is slightly cloudy...? aroma isn’t too exciting. just hops and maybe a bit of caramel. liked the taste though. very floral and summery. nice and refreshing. doesn’t taste overly carbonated but you can feel the bubbles after you’ve had a bottle.

Nice and classic piwo with some hops in the front and that typical british aroma full of hops, malts and earth. Dry finish with a lot of bitterness, but you get can get used to it. Classy one without a doubt.

Had this IPA after a tough day when being really thirsty. It cames with a clear light amber colour, steady creamy head and smooth body. Beautiful nose of honey and roasted brown sugar. Taste of nuts, straw, bitter hops, torf, whiskey mash and rosmary. Dry and bitter finish. It is quite refreshing and very easy to drink. A pleasure for the soul.

Pleasantly crisp and bitter nose although not much hop. Pours a steady gold with a fluffy head. Flavour is bitter with bready malt notes and a long dry finish. Not an IPA by any modern standard but an excellent ESB.

50cl bottle. Definitely more of an ESB than an IPA, but not as bad as the score would indicate. Mild earthy hop and caramel aroma. Very drinkable, nice crisp flavour.

Apparence généreuse mais arômes faibles. Des notes de citron et de pain frais. Très savoureuse mais c’est loin d’être une IPA à mon gout. Grand manque d’amertume pour le genre.

St. Peter’s India Pale Ale has a medium, soapy, slightly off-white head and a mostly clear (yet, with a descending cloud, when the bottom of the bottle is swished and poured in), orange-gold appearance. The aroma is faint, but one can pick up some light breadiness and a pit of hop zing. Taste is of sweet, mild, white bread and a nicely hopped bitterness, although not nearly as intense as an American IPA. Mouthfeel is medium and soft and slick, and St. Peter’s IPA finishes semi-dry, refreshing, sweet, and ultra-drinkable. Overall, this is a wonderful beer, and I rate it as being most excellent. Highly recommended! RJt

Bottle 500ml. It pours a clear amber orange body with little head dispite trying to liven it up on the pour. Its aroma is very faint but lemony hoppy malts come through eventually. Despite the lack of carbonation it tastes "fizzy" then sweet, lemony then orangey through to marmalade and a bitter finish. Im also getting the slightly vinegary taste one ascociates with white wine, and there is a dry hoppiness throughout. The more you drink, the more you like it. Its quite different and not bad at all, but by no means a favourite.
