thebeertourist (1681), Oslo, Norway May 11, 2008 Bottle. Light amber to deep golden with a medium head. Grassy aroma with a spicy touch. Refreshing sour flavours blending with smoked malts. Good bitterness. Nice
NJBeerman013 (568), Trenton, New Jersey, USA Jul 17, 2008 Bottle. Pours a burnt penny copper in color with a big fluffy head. The aroma is spicy, yet tart. It has the flavors one would expect out of a solid IPA, a bitter bite from hops, yet balanced with a ton of balancing malts. Very good. omhper (10140), Stockholm, Sweden Jul 17, 2008 Bottled at Järnet, Stockholm. Clear amber, rocky head. Rich aroma of strawberry and hay. Dry and fairly slim, yet solid and vital. Notes of paper before a long, somewhat resiny bitterness. IPA in the American sense but with English hops. One of the better beers from St peters. Suds_McDuff (951), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston,TX, USA Jul 12, 2008 First impression: what the hell went wrong ... pours a clooody haze dirty brown... smells of dirty water, soggy used hops, and dusty old bones fill of green dust ... low medium..lacing is actually very good ... a kind of dirty ugly beer ... has this strange bitterness.. to queer for me.. joeyplush (33), Boothwyn, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 11, 2008 Pours an orange/amber color with a creamy/carbonated off-white head that sticks around. Hops are not strongly evident, a bit unusual for an IPA. Medium body, lively carbonation, and a decent finish. McGarnigle (145), Rochester, New York, USA Jul 9, 2008 Bottle. Hazy copper...orange tinged, head really lasts. Nice creamy texture (low fizz). This isn’t a hopped up IPA, but it does bring some punch. Earthy, slightly citrusy hops with bready malt spine. Long finish. Still, not good value for money. Not an IPA? Well, not an American IPA (and we didn’t invent the style).
