beerdad (42), Kansas, USA Nov 21, 2007 Bottle. Copper hues, with small head. This IPA, seemed to lack the hoppy flavor that I am used to in American IPAs. Everything about this could be considered subdued. Nothing in your face, nothing over the top. Just a decent quality beer.
rkuhnel (1096), Eureka, California, USA Aug 27, 2008 The was $4.25 from the North Coast Coop in Arcata. IT poured a hazy orange, with big white head, and good lacing. Nose if of caramel malts and citrus hops and some pine. Medium mouthfeel. Flavor is of citrus hops and the finish is short and bitter. OK, but nothing more. drfabulous (704), Columbia, Missouri, USA Aug 26, 2008 Oh no. Horrible. Way too sweet for an IPA. Basically, undrinkable and yet another reason to stay clear of English beer. Angeloregon (1867), Portland, Oregon, USA Aug 21, 2008 Bottle from By the Bottle in Vancouver, WA--Poured a hazy orange-amber body with a foamy whitish head. Malty, bitter, biscuit, caramel nose. Dry bitter, delicious finish. Nice beer! robforbes (709), Bremerton, Washington, USA Aug 10, 2008 pours a semi-cloudy orange-yellow with a small foamy egg-shell head, really good lacing.
smell of malt, earth, yeast, touch of citrus.
taste is grainy up front, malt, roasted nuts, some caramel, becomes more bitter as you drink, slight dry finish. Mitch_Wayne (100), Kokkola, Finland Aug 10, 2008 Nice enough british IPA but I think the hops are a bit harsh on this and the taste could be cleaner.
