Flavor is a bit tart, baking chocolate, and molasses. Chewy but light-medium body. Very good. WSSmiles (124), Columbus, Ohio, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 3, 2008 Decent beer.....slight roasted character with subtle notes of toffee, caramel, and hops. Not the best porter around, but still good. Swalden28 (1446), McKinney, Texas, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 31, 2008 This one just confused me the moment I opened the bottle....It is the aroma I blame. I do not know for sure what flavor hops where used. After being opened for a couple min’s it seemed to have faded with the nice chocolate character. Poured black with tan head, nice looking beer and it is translucent. Flavor was odd at first, seemed like it might have been aged in a bourbon cask but I am sure I am wrong, after a min. or two, it was very fine, nice dark/chocolate flavor. Over all, everything blended just fine to produce a very "Complex" beer which I thought was interesting to drink...... SHANER4 (371), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 27, 2008 Poured dark brown almost black with small head. Mild clean aroma of chocolate and toffee and raisins. Tasted very similar to Turbo dog with less flavor. Overall a pretty good beer but lacking any flavors that give me the wow reaction. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 19, 2008 Beautiful dark brown pour with a thick creamy tan head and some great lacing. Fantastic aroma of raisins, chocolate and roasted malt. Flavor was lighter than expected, but still very good. Sweet roasty nuts and malt, chocolate and a hint of coffee. Very nice. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 13, 2008 Bottle. Nice smell of chocolate and roasted malt, the smell is not as strong and strange as the smell of the Sierra Nevada Porter. Average brown creamy head, very dark rad (nearly black) body. Moderate bitter start, then the bitterchocolate takes over and leads to a rather mild finish; the duration is rather medium. Flat carbonation, medium body, the texture is dry and creamy.
Nice Porter! BrewDad (2366), Olympia, Washington, USA

Aroma – Great dark malt flavor. This had some great sweetness.
Appearance – Dark Brown in color, Nice head and clear as a bell.
Flavor – Tons of dark alt flavor this was rich with Chocolate flavor and a deep sweetness.
Palate – Nice Mouthfeel, great texture with a dry sweet finish.
Overall – If you ask me this is the biggest surprise for me in years. I thought this was going to be bad. This was a great beer. I mean AWESOME. Great flavors.
