Nice! SHIG (2012), Aviano, Italy Nov 10, 2007 Poured a tea leaf brown with a old soft bubbly fast leaving head. Aroma was kinda musty malt with some sweet sugar. The taste was flat not as sweet as I expected and was lacking a bit. uhclem (188), Loveland, Colorado, USA Nov 8, 2007 Pours a deep garnet with a flimsy head. Aroma is thin chocolate and malt that does not betoken anything special in the flavor, which is pleasant, but too understated for a porter. Mouthfeel is nice for a pilsner, but does not measure up to this genre. Pleasant taste of medium complexity with a decent aftertaste. swoopjones (1862), Buffalo, New York, USA Nov 7, 2007 Bottle @ Allen Street Hardware Buffalo NY. Very light bodied, cola like porter. Some maltiness but no body no balls. easy drinking but disappointing. Too light bodied for a quality porter IMO RSRIZZO (1345), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Nov 5, 2007 Had this beer on 8/7/2002. Aroma is a light toasted scent with a hint of skunk Color is a deep dark amber with light carbonation and a thin head. Taste is rich and sweet. Starting with a medium body it goes down with a rich feel and a sweet flavor coming in at the end. Finish is an overly sweet taste that is backed by a tart bitterness. Its too sweet and doesn’t fit into it’s category at all. MesandSim (5790), London, Greater London, England Nov 4, 2007 A Mes rate: Bottle from the Jerusalem Tavern. Rich mahogany with a decent tan head. Coffee and dark malted biscuits in the aroma with some rich pudding like stuff and a delicate smoky note. Flavour is nutty, malty and wonderfully smoky. Nice bitter chocolate. Good malt and hop balance. Nice and full, rich and chewy. Very enjoyable. tytoanderso (1382), St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA Nov 1, 2007 Bottle. Sweet toasted malt and a hint of baked bread on the nose. Pours dark brown with a thin white head. Flavor was mildly bitter with some roasted malt with a watery finish. Light bodied.
