Dark brown with mahogeny color and rich head. Mildly roasted malt and sour fruit aroma. Flavor reveals roasted chocolate, coffee, and sour Kriek with a slighty roasted bitter finish. Soft mouthfeel, but thin to medium body. Easy to drink. AmEricanbrew (1808), Doing Rogue, Louisiana, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Oct 19, 2007 Funky 50 cl. flask pours a dark brown fluid with a light brown head. Nice grassy burnt hop bud smell with roasted malts. Light to medium bodied with a watery mouthfeel. The taste is of lightly toasted grains with a tapioca pudding sweetness. Has a mildly bitter burnt grain finish.
Pretty weak for a Porter.

Poured perhaps a share darker than medium brown with a loose off-white head that doesn’t stick around for long. The aroma picked up lightly-roasted semi-sweet chocolates and darker fruits with a mild hit of char and some herbal notes.. quite sweet overall, but I liked it. The flavor held serve with a sweet chocolate and dark fruity base and light coffee and herbal bitterness at the sides.. drier chocolate and lighly-roasted coffee stick on the finish. Medium-bodied with a decent feel.. wish it wasn’t so sweet (started OK, but lost its appeal after a short while). Good stuff. ChrisThomson (390), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Oct 8, 2007 Pours very dark red, smallish head. Robust chocolate aroma...reminds me of Young’s DCS. Flavor is pretty nice, some chocolate and caramel flavors. Mouthfeel is dissapointingly thin - almost watery. Crank up the body and this could be very nice, but as it is - a fine beer nonetheless. Hints of chocolate and caramel. Not overly complex and surprisingly light and thin, but overall an excellent, easy-drinking porter.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 1, 2007 Unique 50cL bottle. Pours a clear dark brown, almost opaque. The aroma reminded me of incense? Flavor starts with nice roasted coffee and then finishes with a good burnt bitterness. Enjoyable porter.
